Outrageously Loud

I bought this dryer after my beloved 20 year old Kenmore dryer died a month ago. It matches my washer and I was hoping for a similar experience from my previous dryer, since it was made by Whirlpool. This is so outrageously loud! I don't understand how a dryer could be this noisy. I'm guessing they saved money and removed whatever sound dampening material used to be in the models 20 years ago. Just plain disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate this dryer. If you put anything large in it such as sheets, blankets, tablecloths etc. it tangles them up into a ball and which makes it impossible for them to dry properly. I have to run to my basement every 15 minutes and untangle them just to get them to dry in 2 hrs.
