[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this product. I love the attention to detail, such as the vice grip. My son loves to bring his toys over to the workbench to "fix" them. He also loves to pretend to cut the wood for the truck that comes with the bench. Beyond the developmental aspect of pretend play, there is plenty of other developmental skills at work. Fine motor skills putting the nuts and bolts together. Gross motor skills in turning the screwdriver. There are some toys that only fulfill a short season in childhood. However this is one I am sure he will be able to enjoy for several years!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since receiving the handyman work bench my toddler keeps telling me she's "working on stuff;" then she is off to play on the work bench. She is obsessed with the flashlight and drill; I'm obsessed with the multiple buckets and areas of storage. Even more suprising when our cousins age 4 and 6 came for the weekend they also spent hours playing with the work bench so I'm looking forward to years of play!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t expecting all 3 of my boys (ages ranging 1-7) to all enjoy this product, but all 3 of them have enjoyed playing with it. To make it easier to build, I recommend using a drill. It came in several pieces, but only took about 30 minutes to put together. I comes with several fun tools (you will need batteries) and a fun “fake wood” truck to build that actually rolls—my 7 year old thought that was awesome! I also appreciate that even though it is a play set, it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I’ve been avoiding large play sets because of spacing constraints, but this one will fit easily in our living room where the boys can easily play with it for hours. It also has nice storage bins for all of the play tools and screws, etc. that come with it so they will not end up lost. I would highly recommend this toy for all kids ages 1-10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My twin toddler sons really enjoy playing with this Step2 Handyman Workbench. This workbench is great for their imagination with pretend play, their fine motor skills by putting the nuts and bolts together and gross motor skills by turning the screwdriver and using the drill. They love playing with it together and pretend cutting the wood for the truck that comes with the bench, playing with the nuts and bolts, using the hammer, saw and wrench. It is made from quality material and it is very sturdy. It comes with easy to understand instructions to put the workbench together. The bins are easy for storage and the screws and bolts fit nicely together and the screws drop into the holes on top of the bench. They just love the drill which makes a great drilling sound and the bits fit into the screw heads so they can turn the screws with the drill. The hanging light works great and can be stored on the hook on the side of the workbench. The workbench has enough room for all the tools and pieces to store in the bins after play time. I love that the tools can also be stored on hooks on the pegboard. This workbench keeps my sons engaged and entertained for a long time and it is fun for them to discover everything and use their imagination. It is entertaining, engaging and educational. I highly recommend this workbench!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bench itself is nice. I love the amount of storage and the size because it isn't taking over my whole room. My daughter enjoyed playing with it a lot when she first got it but within a few days her interest had faded. She really likes the working drill and light but you can't use the tools on anything! There are holes where you can put the screws but they just slide right in, you can't actually drill them in. You can put the bolts onto the screws but that's about it. The foam car is a nice touch but I'd rather have something you could put together - maybe a really simple car where you could drill the wheels on. And it doesn't come with much so the extra storage really just goes to waste. I even looked to see if you could buy something extra to go with the bench but I didn't see anything. I'm sure my daughter (3) and son (8 months) will use it a lot more in the future but so far, not much excitement for it. Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this workbench is currently loved by my boys. They love all the toys that come with it. They aren’t sure about the foam “wood” pieces but have found other uses for them. The clamp was the only piece that I had trouble putting on. The screws are weirdly placed and are difficult to make sure they are in correctly. Overall everything else was easy to put together.

A New Family Favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five year old has been begging for a workbench for a long time, so when I came across the Handyman Workbench, I knew we had to have it! It took my husband about thirty minutes to assemble, and he barely had time to move out of the way before my five and three year old boys immediately began to play with it. You will need AA and AAA batteries for the light and the drill, so make sure you have those on hand. I love how durable the workbench is, and my children loved playing with all of the different tools and building different things from the foam "wooden" pieces. Even my older children came over to test it out and play after they saw how much fun their brothers were having. Having all of your children play together, use their imaginations, and do an activity not involving screen time? Yes, please! I love how this workbench allows fits all of those criteria, and it kept my children occupied for hours over the last few days. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. It is well-built, fairly easy to assemble, and it will keep your kids busy and stimulate their imaginations. It's definitely a great purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice toy for toddlers ages 3-5 years old. I found it was the perfect height for my son. This is a nice size toy that won't take up too much room but does fit nicely up against a wall in their bedroom or toy area. I do like that that this toy comes with a lot of storage for other toys. My son started to use the workbench as a place to pretend fix his race cars. He loves putting together the fake wood truck and also using the work light. This has kept him busy for hours. He loves that he can build things just like mom and dad who have been doing some home improvement projects around the home. Beside the work light one of his favorites is the power drill and he loves that it can work both forward and backwards. As much as I love this product and so does my son, I could only give it a 4 star rating. The reason being is that it wasn't very easy to put together. While the directions don't call for an electric drill, I would recommend it. Trying to build this with just a regular screwdriver I found very difficult especially if you are trying to build this yourself. Some of the holes were not lining up correctly. I would also suggest having someone help you build this. Another thing I was not a fan of was the directions not in color. I feel having these in color would help make sure you have the correct piece and making sure that it is facing the right way. One of the other great features with this toy is the foam fake wood truck that you could build. I did find this a little more advance when it comes to building it. That a 3-5 year old wouldn't really get it. It would be nice if another foam fake wood building toy came with this as well. But I did see you can buy extras, which is a great idea for extra gifts to keep the toy fresh for the kids. Thank you Step2 for letting my son test out this toy as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!
