If you are quite simply looking for the best performing fitness watch than look no further. For serious runners, cyclists, gym enthusiasts the data available exceeds most people's needs. The watch looks great (sapphire paired with orange band) and quality is top notch. Even better is the option of swapping out the band and wearing to the office. Also, battery life is great with no need to charge every day and worry it's dead before a work out. Oh, and the music capability without a device works very well (paired with Beats headphones) with no connectivity issues experienced. Plan to give one of the music services a try but downloading from Mac is very easy as the Garmin App is straightforward to use. This is a quality engineered watch that seems to be very durable.

Great training watch and more

I bought the watch a month ago and really like it. It has all the features of my old training watch plus then some and still can be worn out in social settings because it looks so good.

HR not accurate

My HR was reading 103 bpm after being on an elliptical for a 5 minute warm up. I checked my HR manually and I was at 140 bpm. When I reverse it on my wrist it seems to work better but that is not how I want to wear my watch. I even went on forums and a lot of other people have the same issue. What a shame. Think I’m sending this back. For a watch at this cost, you would think it would work better.

Many functions but screen isn't bright enough

Too expensive, and the menus aren't all that intuitive. I am thinking of returning it.

It's upsolutelly great watch for sport and every day using. Its my 3d watch from Garmin.
But for the future, pls upgrade a GPS chipset, because during a long sport activity in a city (with a lot of buildings) or forests GPS make a mistakes.

I just got the Garmin 5 plus and the heart rate monitor is not working. It is not reading my heart rate. I have been using the Vivoactive for over a year without any problem.

Excellent Watch

I have had more than a few smartwatches from just about every company and brand. We constantly have our phones next to use, so there isn't a need for a wrist phone. Plus I wanted something that would last longer than 2 days on a charge and help me manage my health. This watch goes above and beyond that. While it's not some super impressive display, it is simply packed with health features, information and guidance. It also handles phone notifications like a breeze. Definitely a great buy. Only thing that needs improvement is Garmin Pay hardly supporting many banks at the moment.
