I’ve been in retail for over 30 years. Being able to own my Fenix 5 and share it’s functionality with prospective buyers has made it easier to share and tell. And sell!

Great hardware let down by epically poor software.

In a twist that will surprise exactly nobody who has used any Garmin product ever, the Fenix is yet another product that's excellent from a hardware perspective but utterly let down by a truly horrible UI and overall UX. It's 2019 Garmin, let's have smartphone setup and control - like every other smartwatch maker on the planet.

Sorry you did not like the interface. We do make many watches that have touchscreens but by design we do not have them on the Fenix models

I've only had it for a week but very impressed! Already took it kayaking and hiking without any issues! The app is amazing, the features and functions are well thought out, the construction is solid yet fashionable. Can't wait to use it more!

The Ultimate Athletic Sport Watch

I am a gear guy and remember attaching the Timex pod to my arm when I ran about 30 years ago. Technology has certainly advanced. This instrument has everything the you need whether you are a mall walker or professional triathlete. The smart watch features are great and Garmin Connect is an invaluable tool for health and fitness. Look at the competition and you will come back to this instrument.

I love the functionality and battery life. The display wasn't as sharp as I've gotten used to with my s3 Gear Frontier but I'd rather have extremely durable and functional over style. I'm not sure if the standard face is nicer, I went with sapphire because I plan to use it for training and obstacle racing. It seems like it'll live up to Spartan tracking for sure.

I'll start with the device... I've been using my Garmin Fenix 5 Plus daily for a few weeks. The features and battery life are unrivaled. From running, to navigating, to golfing, to music, to contactless payments, you will not find another watch that can do as much as this. I love it. Next on to Garmin as a company... I experienced a few issues recently and contacted Garmin for assistance. All I can say is that they were very prompt in their response and really went above and beyond to resolve my issue. Their customer service and willingness to resolve the issue is why I will be a Garmin customer for life. Thank you!
