Great workout partner!

I bought this for my New Years present and because the band on my old fit bit broke. It is certainly an upgrade! There are so many features and ways to customize I was a bit overwhelmed at first. This is a watch for serious athletes!! I am not one of those, but I chose this watch because it had buttons instead of the touch screen like Garmin’s more specific (less expensive) workout watches. So far I really like it.
The two things I have had problems with are that it was difficult to pair with my iPhone on initial set up. No problems since, my fingers are crossed. And I had thought this watch came with the feature of seeing the workout animations when you uploaded a program. I am not sure if this watch doesn’t support this feature, although I thought it did. Or if it’s an other issue. This was one of the features I was really looking forward to on this watch so it is a bit disappointing I don’t have it.

I've only had my watch for a few days. Still figuring it our, but after one mt bike ride, its pretty impressive.

Solid sports watch.

It does everything you want. I know some people aren't the greatest fans of Garmin connect, but this watch, my edge computer, and Garmin connect do everything I could ask. Tracking rowing, tracking hikes, skiing, whatever. Good battery life, and I have generally been very pleased with it. I do wish menus were a little more intuitive, but once you get over the learning curve, it's an amazingly capable device.

Great All-Around Smart Watch

I've used this watch for 4 years, and it's still functioning like it did on the first day. It shows some wear, but it's only a "patina" from what I've put it through. It's tracked hundreds of miles of trail runs, countless workouts of every type, and guided me through the training for my first few half-marathons. I would confidently say this watch is good at everything, but it's not exceedingly "great" in some areas. For instance, the heartrate monitor is a good reference, but it is not as accurate as a chest unit. The GPS tracking does a good job for most predictable, straight routes, but on twisty trail runs you should expect it to cut some corners. However, despite it's negligible issues, I would absolutely buy this watch again (IF it ever quits working).

Favorite watch!

It's spot on with tracking miles. I like how you can see mile splits, heart rate and pace on watch face. Very convenient if you're a numbers person. The first few triathlons, it took me a few button oops before I figured out what buttons to press when I got out of the water and out of transition. I was pleased to find an edit button in case you didn't hit your split or didn't stop your watch, you could go into the garmin app and fix it. I absolutely love this watch!

Perfect smart watch

This does everything I need it to and more. The GPS features are amazing and I use it to track almost every exercise. I have have used and abused this thing for 3 years now and the face still looks brand new. I have yet to encounter any technical issues with this watch. I will continue buying Garmin Fenix series watches. That is if this one ever needs to be updated.

I love my Garmin watch. Obsessed with the data analysis. I have had this watch for about 1 year. I am triathlete and this works great for multi sports .Love the integration with apps like Training Peaks that accept my workouts. I am pleasantly please with the TrackBak feature on a recent trip to Oregon , NICE!

Great watch performed and looked very good until it suddenly died and the screen face glitched out after 6 months of owning it. Seems like a common problem other users of the watch have experienced. Update they sent me a new one and have had zero problems over the last year
