Great features, very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with our whirlpool microwave. The control touch pad is across the bottom allowing the interior oven space to be much larger than the oven we replaced. There is a nice selection of preprogrammed functions. The microwave oven is extremely quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too tall over stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't like the fact that the numbers aren't lit up so you can see them at night. That is a very bad feature. Also it should be built lower as a small person can't see in the window without a stool. Sorry I bought it.

First time I used the microwave to cook a sweet potato, I selected "potato" and let it run using the sensing function. It seemed to be going a long time. I know this because i started it along with a steak on the grill. 11 minutes later the steak was done and the microwave was still humming along. I had checked the potato at 5 minutes and it was partly done. At 11 minutes, still sensing and cooking, it produced a deflated potato. See the photo. I won't be trusting the sensing function any more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features accurate sensor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this six months ago to replace an aging unit. After having this installed the whole family felt like it was Christmas. This is the best microwave I've ever used and I've used a lot of them. The neatest feature is that the controls are hidden in the front door bottom, very slick.
