Great Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older model Whirlpool and liked the brand. Upgrade to my new unit has been a dream come true for my kitchen. The large cook top with five positions and the oversized oven works well for me and also allows for doing full meals all at once when my family come over. Only one drawback! The cooktop demands a complete cleaning after every use to maintain the beautiful shine and clean appearance. Not a big deal but does add a couple of minutes of extra attention for clean up after every meal. The unit is a beautiful, practical, versatile and efficient addition to my kitchen.

Nice upgrade!

Its been a great range with new features that we didn't have before. So not only did we buy new appliances, we got an upgrade too!! Frozen bake and self clean are great.

The design on the dual burner is crazy

I wanted a simple oven & range combo with basic functionality and went for this one on the theory that it probably did the basics well. Alas, I am extremely disappointed by the dual element feature -- a feature which I had seen as a drawing card in the store. The problem is with the layout of the heating elements. On the smaller diameter the heating elements are packed very tightly together. If you put it on the larger size, however, the heating units of the outside ring aren't packed as tightly. This is very visible in the attached photo. The result, as I discovered the first time I tried to cook a large pan of food, is that the centre of the pan gets much hotter than the outside of the pan, and the food doesn't cook evenly! Who in heck designed it this way? Whirlpool, if you're out there I would love to hear you on this. Am I missing something? I'm so seriously disappointed that I'm going to see if the store will take it back.

Nice appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not used all the functions on this range yet, but so far it's pretty nice! I have to remember that now I have convection as an option! It's so much better having a glass top instead of the top with burner coils and pans. I thought I had damaged the glass top with something I cooked, but was able to clean it up instead.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The black stove top is hard to maintain, shows every blot, dust, hair. The oven light died after only 2 months. The elements take longer to heat up compared to my old stove. The oven also takes 15 minutes to preheat. And who has time for that these days!? The wire racks squeak as the oven is heating up. The timer only goes off once and if you don’t hear it you burn your food. If you set the timer and don’t press play the timer isn’t set at all. Having a cook time and timer is not needed. You only need one good timer and this stove doesn’t have it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The cleaner is called Affresh and it is approved to use on the cooktop. Since this is an electric range, the elements will take a little longer to heat; This is completely normal. The preheat cycle can take 12-15 minutes; this is also completely normal. For faster preheating, you may remove the racks. When the oven is heating the walls will expand. This will cause the heating and the popping noise. Lastly, the timer can be adjusted to meet your needs, you may check your use and care guide for more information. We hope we answered accordingly. Easy to clean

I really like the cook top - the burner selection to suit the pan size. It's easy to keep it clean and shiny. The beeps to let me know when heat and time settings have been reached are a great feature.

Refrigerator is very quiet, ease of access to produce stored and as for the stove we are impressed with the glass top element. Heats food quickly and evenly. Exceptional products!
