Too early to evaluate.

Beautiful appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quickly the top heats up. Not sure about the oven....takes a long time to heat and I have to bake longer, even with convect bake. The signal for the timer is not loud enough and it only sounds one time. Would love to know if I can change this.

Not overly impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Expecting to be wowed, we replaced our 22 year old standard element range with the ceramic top a month ago. I would love to be able to start off with some very positive comments, but I'm afraid I can't.
(Not + or -): I know it will take some time and use to adapt to this type of range-top cooking, so I will reserve any comments about that. So far, it is just "Ehh."
(Not + or -): As some others have commented, the oven takes somewhat longer to come up to temperature - maybe because of the concealed bottom element?
(Not + or -): Having cooked in commercial kitchens, the convection feature is not what I expected.
(Not + or -): I thought it would be less maintenance for my super-clean wife. This is not necessarily the case: she has to work hard at keeping the top spotless; this, after I have done the "heavy lifting" with the ceramic polish - after each and every use.
(-): Which brings us down to our biggest disappointment to date: the durability of the cook top surface itself. I have some cast iron cookware and, considering the top is ceramic, I am mindful of the weight and impact while using them. We already have one burner that has what looks like permanent scarring from each use. I am using a paste cleaner and it removes the cooked on spatters and spills but it appears the scuff marks are here to stay.
(-): After 5 uses and 2 high temperature (500 degrees) attempts to burn it off, there is still a significant odor each time we use the oven.
(-): The storage drawer is very flimsy, with sharp edges in places.
(-): Kitchen timer: this may really be nit-picking, but it is a feature we use often. It really needs some tweaking: 1) when setting the timer, instead of the timer launching automatically, you have to hit "Start" for it to actually start. If you forget, it just doesn't begin. It would be helpful if it would beep if you fail to hit start. 2) once the timer does start, you cannot adjust it (+/-); you have to start all over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
