I don't understand the upgrade..

I had this phone after my original z play, and returned this for my z play back. It's the same phone minus the long battery life of the z play and no headphone jack on this, and the camera isn't as good, and no glass like back. I really don't see how this is an upgrade? I want a brand new z play. That'd be good.

I have had my zplay for a year now, love it the screen is clear as the day I opened it the gorilla Glass is all what they say it is. Takes nice clear, good colour photos although close up can be graney. And I can get nearly 3days from the battery, it's ashame they don't have a car charger it would be handy, oh and the head set port is a godsend when I am mowing.

Glass phone

I have a Droid Turbo-Loved it ! By far the Best Motorola phone I've had . Then got the Z2 Force , good phone . Speaker sounded like a snare drum so I got the JBL moto mod ! Loved it ! Got the Z3 Thursday , dropped it Monday screen busted . After further examination I found the whole phone had chips missing on the rounded sides . There is even a chip out of the back glass. Initially after I dropped it I had NO fear because my other two Motorola's never suffered any damage from drops . Super disappointed !

I don't like the fact that there is no headphone port. Other than that the phone looks good. And the batter life is impressive.

Hi kevin12,
It provides the latest in USB-C audio which also allows for the ultra-thin design. We do understand that people may prefer to use 3.5mm audio jack headsets though and have included an inbox adapter to accommodate that.

Original Moto Z Force

This original Moto Z Force that I own, I will never give up. Still by far, the best camera on the market. 21MP!!!! Razor sharp pics. I never understood why the newer Moto z's with all of their improvements gave up on that camera.

This is my first Motorola phone purchase in over 15 years. My last Motorola was a black and yellow flip phone with the Push-To-Talk feature, which was purchased through Sprint's Boost. That was a terrific phone! My new Z3 play is very responsive, feels good in the hand and I like the fingerprint unlock button. I have no issues with it being mounted on the side of the handset, as some other critics have bemoaned. The display is bright and crisp. The camera is good, but not great; but for a mid-range phone that is acceptable to me. My only concern is the update support to this new phone. I wasn't aware that Motorola had such poor phone update support, which everyone seems to complain about and I assume must be accurate. If that is the case with Motorola, then this may very well be my last Motorola purchase. I will wait and see...I also own a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus phone, which is my primary phone through Sprint. The Z3 play is my back-up phone.

Good technology

The technology of this phone is great! Maybe too much technology, for example; it will call contacts on it's own ( even when it's locked ). It will also send random text messages to contacts. Sometimes it will be trying to download apps on it's own. At times when it activate it, websites will be on your screen, some of which never seen before. Also I get a lot of screens that tell me that my requests can't be granted because of data issues, which is usually off, thank goodness. But all operations are a go!
