Awesome toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our 7 year old, he absolutely loves it!! We set up a little dig station on the back porch and let him have fun with it! It's really neat to see him have so much fun learning!

Educational Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this and i used it as a reward for my 5yr old who wants to be an archeologist. It was fantastic. He loved the intricate pieces and figuring how to put them together.

GREAT ACTIVITY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this kit and so did my 6 year old boy/girl twins. I have purchased similar kits to this one and they are very small and don’t take any time at all to ‘discover’ the features buried inside. This kit is very large. It took my twins at least two hours to get all the bones out, clean them and then begin the assembly process. I will say that it is a pretty messy project. Dust debris gets everywhere. It would be perfect as an outdoor activity but it was a rainy day so we did it inside. We don’t mind the mess for a good activity but some people might not care for that aspect of it. The assembly of the fossil took some assistance from an adult. My kids still play with the bones so it can last as a toy but I think it was made more to be a display once it is assembled as it isn’t super sturdy to PLAY with. But I loved the activity, even our 13 and 15 year old enjoyed digging out the bones! I would definitely buy the kit again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have purchased dinosaurs in an egg before. It was hard clay and hard to get the dinosaur even after soaking. This dinosaur is buried in a softer substance and getting the bones was more fun and easier. Also the added benefit of putting the dinosaur together. Even before he was done he wanted to get the rest of the collection. He LOVED this toy!

Fun and educational

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this as part of the Play, Rate, and Review program. My daughter chose this over a doll, and she was not disappointed. She loved the movie tie-in, but it would definitely be appropriate as a stand alone toy.
We've done several "fossil dig" kits, and this was by far my favorite. The "rock" was soft enough to allow my daughter to dig, and we were able to get the fossils out in one night. We've had other kits that were harder, and took up to several days.
The whole thing is pretty straight forward,but has an additional fun element of jaw articulation. It is big, which makes it easy to assemble.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we received this in the mail, my 7 year old son was super excited about it, he loves the Jurassic World movies and toys and really enjoys dinosaurs! My older son who is 9 and a neighbor friend were also excited about helping out. It comes in a very nicely packaged box and was easy to open. It comes with 3 tools, which were nicely made, a hammer, brush and shovel to use while excavating the bones. The chalky brick that you use to excavate the dinosaur bones was large and the kids got excited when they saw it. After getting everything out and ready, I realized we should put some newspaper down to help with clean up, but shortly after the boys started to dig for the bones it got pretty messy, so we moved everything outside onto the porch for an
easier clean up. It took the boys quite a while to dig out all the bones, but it kept them very entertained with each find, they took turns with the different tools and had a great time. We then rinsed and washed off all the bones and let them dry. The kids started to try to put the dinosaur together on their own but it was difficult for them to assemble, so I helped them and had a little trouble myself but we got it put together and on it’s base. The dinosaur is very detailed and has a moving jaw which the boys thought was really cool. It is more of a display piece rather than a toy but my son loves having it displayed in his room, and still changes the way it is displayed every now and then. This was a really fun activity that kept all of us
entertained for a few hours. I would definitely recommend this for any dinosaur loving kids, it was truely a fun experience!

Great fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this kit free to try and while my boys made a mess, they really enjoyed braking the block apart to get new pieces. They needed a bit of help putting the T-Rex toguether but afterwards they also played with the Dino too. The T-Rex has a button to clap it’s jaw close.
