I bought this model only because I was in desperate need of a new phone! I'm a longtime user of LG smartphones and I think one other flip phone from years ago. I love all things LG but have only been a cellphone purchaser.
I love this phone! It's fast and extremely easy to use! You kept a lot of the same features as the LG G series, for which I have had three different types G3, G4, and G5. But this V40 series is awesome.
I had read some reviews about the V series phones and they weren't all that impressive but I read one on the V40 and I was excited about it.
So thank you for making another solid phone for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i bought it, it look like the iPhone x, but a lot bigger and less for the price,
the multi-task on android, the the camera ,leave the most expensive iPhone on dust, the cine shot, which i love it, to create stop motion picture, gaming and the audio , is the most entertainment phone ever , plus i got free tv with it, wich is awesome for sing up bonus, anyone looking for a good phone , and good price, this is the phone for you,
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slick design, quality feel, poor durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Features, camera, battery life all excellent. Durability sucks. I've owned the phone for a month and twice drooped it from the sofa which is a maximum 3 foot drop. It had a screen protector on it, the corner of the screen is chipped as are 2 corners of the unit. The unit simply slipped off the sofa and onto the laminate floor. Can't imagine what would happen to it if it hit concrete. I would expect a $900 phone to hold up better than this. Yup I am disappointed.

Good Phone not a Great Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i purchased this phone in December 2018. one of the main reasons was because of its size, built, and how LG stayed true on having a light weight phone that does not full so heavy especially in the pocket. now this is my first lg phone i had purchased and the other reason i gave it a try is because i have an lg OLED TV. now my experience has been good all around with all the features it has but it needs to improve in other areas to make a better user experience. do not like the fact you do not have a led indicator for notifications. also would like to see better response time for pin unlock and not having to make an extra step to click the ok button to get in. one of my biggest disappointments is the fact you can not go truly full screen when watching you-tube for similar content. would like lg to give us the option to choose for ourselves if we want the full screen all in the corners or not. to me that is wasted space. also the self avatar is pretty bad in animation in contrast. looks the worst from their counterparts offering the same thing. now i will say this phone does have a lot of good things going for it but what i just outlined here makes this phone a less user experience than others in the market that made improvements in the details for a better user experience. i will say that lg is going in the right direction and hope they listen and learn from their past experiences and build a more refine product.
I would recommend this to a friend!
