I love LG phones, they are highly underrated, & terribly marketed. With that said, people in the know, know these are great phones. They are reliable, durable, & stylish. Not a fan of the additional buttons for power & Google assistant, but it is what it is. Very happy with the phone, it's fast, smooth, & the camera is great. Coulda had a larger battery. Form factor is perfect without being too big.
I wanted this phone because I like LG phones as a brand. I've had several different models in the past. I read up on this model before buying and decided I wanted it. Then when I went to AT&T to get it, I got lucky and it was on promo. WIN-WIN!
I have been purchasing LG phones for the past 10 years. These phones are work-horses and extremely reliable. The cameras on the new v40 are awesome! I will always buy LG.
Hands down the best LG yet I feel. The V30 was okay , but the V40 is Amazon. The camera alone is awesome. iPhone users ask to take pictures on my phone. I wouldn't change a thing.
I've had the phone for a couple of weeks now and it's probably the best phone I've ever owned. The display is beautiful and the amount of features and ways to customize the user experience is great. The cameras are very nice as well with all sorts of options. Also, the phone is super fast. I have not experience any lag whatsoever on this device. I think my only caveats with this phone are two things and honestly they don't detract too much from the user experience.
The first thing that I think could have been improved upon would be the battery size. 3300 mAh is good enough for a days worth of battery and for me that's fine because I wouldn't consider myself a heavy user but if you're looking for something with a larger battery I would suggest looking at the Note 9 or something along those lines. For me, it's good enough but I know for others that will definitely be a deal breaker.
Next would be the Google Assistant button. It's definitely a good idea but I rarely use it and I wish there was a way to remap it. Like I said, it's not a big enough problem for me that you cannot remap it but others might not like that.
Overall, I am very pleased with the V40. It's a great alternative to the Samsung and Apple phones of the world and if you can get this phone for a good price, which is what I did, it is well worth it.
