SPEED KEY DESIGNED TO FIT IN BOOT !!!
on June 17, 2018
Posted by: Robrix
With all the excellent reviews already available, I thought I would share this instead.
-pivot the shaft away from the key just a bit, insert key in a downward angle, and wha la! Perfect key storage. I’ve never seen this mentioned on the official site, yet it fits seamlessly as if by design.

The Bugatti of Lego sets.
on June 21, 2018

The attention to detail on this set is incredible! From the general body design to the complexities involved in the marriage process. There were challenging times while building the engine, but seeing it come together was very worthwhile and satisfying.
I have many Lego sets ranging from the Millenium Falcon to other UCM's, and this is by far at the top of my list for most rewarding builds.

Great Model and a Feeling of Accomplishment
on December 29, 2019

Having built the UCS Millennium Falcon some time ago, I was ready for another challenge and this model has become my favorite Lego build. While working on it I was inspired to learn about the real Bugatti Chiron and I was blown away by all I learned, from Buggati's history to how the vehicle is assembled and it's capabilities. The car is an engineering marvel. As I proceeded through the build, I could see the level of detail that the Lego designer put into this model. The bags are numbered which increased my enjoyment. However, after the "marriage" part at stage 6 I tested the wheels by spinning them by hand and noticed they would spin only a turn or two and then stop. I disassembled most of what I completed and located that my mistake was in the gearbox with the orange pieces that engage the various gears. I didn't have those orange pieces sitting correctly so there they would be able to engage the gears. Based on some similar problems I've seen builders have on YouTube who unfortunately discovered a problem with the wheels not turning after the model was completely finished; I recommend testing the wheels to make sure they spin after the marriage where you join the front and rear halves of the model. The wing was also a bit of a challenge for some reason, but it ultimately came together perfectly. My second suggestion for builders is to take their time and enjoy the process. I've seen several videos where people try to rush assembly and ultimately make a mistake. Even with my mistake this was a great experience and I enjoyed putting the model together and learning about the real Chiron. The model looks great and the more you learn about the real Chiron, the more you will appreciate what went into designing this piece. I enjoyed the Chiron so much, that I ordered the technic Porsche which I had to get from a third party because it is a retired product. From what I see, the Bugatti blows the Porsche away, but I got addicted to the engineering that goes into these models.

It’s a Beauty

This set was my last hurrah before I deploy overseas. I have the 911 GT3 RS, and this set acts as an excellent companion to it. The color is perfect, it’s a great contrast to the Porsche’s bright orange, and the two tone gives the car a certain pop I really enjoy.
If you are a fan of automobiles, or machines in general, this set was made for you. It features the 16 piston engine like the real thing, a manual transmission with paddle shifters by the steering wheel, working independent suspension, and steering.
While some would find the complicated mechanical functions a chore to build and a nightmare to get right, I love it. I would even go as far to say it’s my favorite part of the build — all the little gears and sprockets coming together and working perfectly is a satisfaction I never tire of. Putting the body panels on is just the icing to a delicious cake.
Everything about this set screams quality. The beautiful rims, the passenger cabin, the engine cover — even the packaging is oozing class. It’s the kind of box you’ll keep just because it looks far too nice to throw out.
The set will look great on my shelf, and I can’t wait to show this and the Porsche off to all my friends and guests.
The price tag is definitely a hurdle many will not want to leap over, and I wouldn’t blame them. But for an enthusiast of both cars and Lego such as myself, it’s worth it. I love this set, and I can’t wait for the next technic car. Fingers crossed for an NSX, Viper, Corvette, or Demon! ✌️

Their finest to date

As an adult I've been purchasing and building Lego Technic for a long time, my last before the Chiron was the Porsche GT3. The Lego Chiron is an absolute triumph in design, engineering and marketing, the designers have absolutely nailed it, it is truly amazing in every detail, the way it looks, the way it builds and works even the boxs and instruction manuals are beautiful and all add to the total experience, even the build to release, the dedicated web pages and podcasts are integral to the Bugatti/Lego partnership and they make you feel part of it.
It's way better than the Lego Porsche GT3 which I reakon Porsche missed a trick with regard to build up to launch and the marketing and making the Lego builder feel there're building something special, the Lego Chiron does this in with ease.
Most of us won't get near a real Bugatti Chiron but the Lego Chiron is surely the next best thing!
Yes it is very expensive but so is the real thing. Its definitely worth the cost in my opinion.
The only negative as others have mentioned the shock absorbers are too soft for the weight of the car, it would be nice if there was a modified shock available to sort this problem.
If you love Lego Technic, buy this Lego Chiron you won't be disappointed.
Surely the Pinicle of Lego Technic.

Cool car!

I liked this build very much! This set was not very difficult for me, but it might be hard for others. The doors and hood open up. You can shift with the shifting paddles and switch gears, including neutral and several drive gears. Additionally, this comes with car keys, and a bag for luggage that can be placed in the forward trunk compartment. The detail inside is pretty cool too! The spoiler also opens with the included car key. There is a unique code under the hood you can enter on this website to get unique content about the car. One negative is that the suspension is a disappointment because the springs can’t come back up when pushed the because of the model’s own weight :( The engine is pretty cool, though. It is a W16 and the pistons are exposed. You can also adjust the headrest for the seats which is pretty neat! I do recommend this set and give it 4 stars.

Fantastic Quality!

The Bugatti Chiron is very beautiful! I believe LEGO really listened to feedback on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and created something remarkable. It is aesthetically pleasing and sturdy enough to show off. I find myself picking it up and studying it over and over. From a Technic standpoint, the new beveled clutch gear and changeover catch are going to rewrite the way gearboxes work in the future. The space they save is tremendous. From a Creator standpoint, the new elements add a refined level of detail. From a build standpoint, the instructions are very well planned. It is easy to see the level of thought and attention to detail put into every aspect of the set. Overall, it is very hard to find a fault with the Chiron.
