This lego was an amazing thing to build. I broke my arm so I had to use only one hand so it was easy enough for that. still the coolest result of a lego set i have

Great product

I originally thought to buy this for a summer project (I built it in a few days) but it ended up being more of a model that I think I will keep for a long time. It is good for anyone who wants a challenge but isn’t the most difficult thing. Putting the 2 sections together was probably the hardest part of the whole thing. Overall love it can’t wait to build another similar product some day.

A challenging experience
on January 13, 2020
Posted by: JP2020
I was very hesitant to purchase this set at first given its only my second Technic build. A single mistake on my part in the middle of manual #1 did not become apparent until well into manual #2 after the two halves of the car had already been joined. Fortunately, this mistake only prevented me from adding the flexible pipe arch that is part of the car's interior. Correcting it was not worth undoing 100+ steps. I also noticed that while the steering wheel works, the overall weight of the car in combination with the rubber tires in contact with most surfaces means the steering wheel will not turn.
A few things that would have made this a more enjoyable build:
1. This build would have been great for motorization and remote control features. Lego put a lot of effort designing a working gearbox for this car. Tying this gearbox into motors would have awesome feat and would have greatly increased its play value. Think about it; using a cellphone to shift gears to adjust the speed of the car would have been really cool. I would have gladly paid more for a remote feature. 2. Use of stickers is somewhat disappointing. At this size and price point I would have liked to have seen quality screen printed parts used. More detail in the interior would have been nice.
This was overall an enjoyable build. I am merely mentioning ways it could have been improved. I hope Lego is listening for future car builds like this one. At this scale, realism and quality is very important.

A set worthy of having Bugatti on the box
on January 7, 2020

Right away when opening this set you can tell Bugatti and Lego put their all into it. It is presented with so much more prestige than your typical Lego set. Inside the box is a collection of smaller boxes and the instruction manual that make up a picture of a Bugatti. The reverse of these has another picture as well. So right away you can tell you are getting into a set that Bugatti and Lego put their all into.
There are two instruction books included and the division of bags into different numbered boxes makes it easy to follow along and stay organized. It took me around 12 hours to put it together and it was quite enjoyable. There is a podcast they suggest listening to while building. I did not listen to it, mainly cause there was other content I felt like having on.
One of the more difficult steps was when you need to merge the front of the car with the back. You have to line up the drive shaft and a few other moving parts. The instructions tell you to make sure certain moving parts are placed in a certain direction but there is not much guidance on what to test once these are together to make sure everything is working. I would suggest putting the wheels on at this point for testing on a flat surface. The wheels should rotate the drive shaft and if you move the shift knob towards the engine, then the pistons in the engine should move when the car moves (I believe the shifter is on at this point). After you test take the wheels back off.
It looks amazing when put together. I don't think I will take this set apart or rebuild it like I have with others. The long tube pieces that make up some of the curves of the car seem like they could get really messed up with repeated builds.
Overall, it is a set I would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys both cars and Lego.

second only to the fkp 37

the chiron in its technic design is very boxy in its shape. But i loved building the gearbox and the w16 engine. Even made my own "openable hood" option for over the motor to view it better. May even make my own upgrade to make the whole rear shell removable for even better internal viewability of mechanics that power this beast such as shocks and motor and gears and such. Overall, very pleased and cannot wait for my fkp 37.

Absolutely AWESOME build. The Porche was a lot of fun and is also an awesome product. This one builds on that experience and makes it even better and classier in every way. A must have for real Technic enthusiasts.

Beautiful

Just finished this model. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot stop looking at it. The build was long but rewarding. I loved building the drivetrain. I enjoyed putting the gears together and seeing how the different "clutches" engage. There was some serious time put into the design of this model. The exterior lines are beautiful and there is absolutely no mistaking this for any other vehicle. I wish Lego would have incorporated a brake rotor design with less wiggle and a better way to mount the brake caliper because both feel loose and unsecure. Those are my only complaints about this model. If other color options were available I'd definitely purchase and build it again. Overall a very fun build. Beautiful looking model. Huge in size. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.

First Technic Set!
on September 21, 2020

For being my first ever technic set of the caliber i had no idea what i was getting myself into. This build was the most challenging of all! For someone who has built 100's of LEGO sets this one come above all of them for difficulty.
The technic pins, axles, rods, and so on got overwhelming pretty fast. The first half of building this was the working and maneuverability of the actual build. As you could assume it wasn't easy. I was actual about to send this thing be due to the difficulty!
Alas I carried on and managed to get through it and boy! Was it worth the struggle. This is an amazing model and am certainly looking forward to many more of these!
