Excellent deatailed model

A beautiful re-creation of the original vehicle. As usual, the level of detail and engineering that went into this was outstanding. Took a little less time than the Porsche, but equally impressive. I was excited about the key that operates the rear spoiler! More integrated moving parts make it a million times cooler. One of my favorites!

One of the best models i built

Ok, obviously the most stuff about this model is great.
Two drawbacks:
1) Stickers. With this pricepoint, all parts should be printed. It’s nearly inpossible to attach the stickers 100% aligned and for someone with my OCD it messes up the build.
2) The doors only have 1 attach-point and no ”lock” mechanism to keep them aligned when ”closed”. Really really bad.
With 1+2 fixed, it would be a 5-star rating.

Hello,
First off I’m always a Lego fan and love the technic cars and have almost every Technic every produced. As I have read most other reviews several people complained that they built also this neat stuff and can’t see it.
Since I’m an actual technician and work on real cars, those you really don’t see all the working parts either. As a fact most of the time people don’t wanna see it and they are a royal pain to work on.
With that said the car does resemble a real one mostly and that’s what technic is about. With that said I hope Lego keeps in mind that these are still toys, and doesn’t have to be totally like a real car. In addition as they are toys, other reviews said you can’t play with it. In response to each their own it’s theirs but this is not some toy I wanna drag across my carpet or floor. I have rc cars that do that much better.
So the pros of this is well a lot, it’s well put together and packaged nicer than most, not as nice as the Porsche though. The inside box cover was better, and history of the porches and pictures made it neat to read also. I did like the split manual Instwad or the massive book on the Porsche’s. It does have an upgrade on the shifting paddles over the porche which is huge.
Of course the layout and design is nice as well.
Cons
First off I have to point out that I havnt had a chance to call Lego, but was missing not just a few parts but whole bags. Luckily the new special parts (bags were there) and I could sub stuff from my Porsche. But hopefully they make it right.
Other cons, from looking at the instructions and build process from a mechanics view the assembly is pretty easy. Yet, when they put a box around something and there are how many parts to look at, if your normal person how does one know what to look for. I see the same complaint about the shocks as others. Now a quick fix to this is use the shocks from the Porsche. Now for some odd reason they are much stiffer springs than the new set. Another way to fix it is by simply (practice on an old one first ) but just pop the shock apart and either add a spacer (rubber tubing from a hobby shop works great or take the springs off an old one and compress it and add to it or cut it in half and add to the load. Since it’s collectable I just buy 8 of them and make your own. (Yes it takes 8 but If you modify all 8 it’s too strong modify four of them and use four normal ones.

Price so we know legos are cheap but still worth money. I don’t think it should have been more than the Porsche but that’s just me.
Difficulty lol well let’s just say the Lego 8880 was more complex training than this one. Even the Mercedes truck is harder than this one is. After building the ipin Lego generic kosenega r, that’s almost 5000 piece, it by far destroys any of the Lego texhnics in level of hard. In addition to that off brand yes (it’s off brand who cares) but it didn’t need have the shock issue and was the same size and had almost 1500 more pieces and they had a very unique shock system that’s genius.
Would I recommend this of course it’s a nice set. Depending on ones own level of skill and experience with mechanics and or cars this set for experienced,
Or mechanically inclines people it’s much easo than the Porsche and walk in the park compared to the Mercedes truck. Compared to the off brand koenigsegg agrea r this set is a 1 out of ten for being hard. On Lego scale maybe a 5 If up against the Mercedes or porche or even the 8880 or 8448.
Hopefully soon Lego will (more me really ) can get the bags missing. So I can get the pieces back to my Porsche. Hint to Lego make a koenigsegg And lol make it harder than the one out there. That car made me think and if you make a mistake your kinda toast.
But as a collector the set is nice it will go great with my Porsche and koenigsegg. The box art is nicer than normal sets, but nothing like the Porsche.

The porsche set is a much better set. Everything from detailing to shift is better in that set

Amazing set :)

I loved his set! The build is quite challenging, but the level of detail is amazing :) The great experience starts with the box, which is a piece of art all by itself. The engine and gearbox are challenging to build (made and corrected some mistakes along the way), but the end result is awesome!
