Brilliant engineering

I agree with most of the other comments. The designers are brilliant, the concept and the building process are original and challenging. Afew things might be improved (e.g. finishing for the boot, a liftable engine cover), but all in all I think the finished product is outstanding.
A warning: go slow and verify every step, you do not want to make an error early on and then find yourself having to undo 150 steps to fix a deeply buried problem. I stretched the construction over about two months, working 1-2 hours most days. (I photographed most of the steps, which took extra time, in case I made an error).
My friends, children, even my wife and 5 year old grandson, are all impressed with the result.

Awesome car

I really, really liked the first part of the build, all those small cogs that turned perfectly with each other. It was also very sturdy and nothing seemed to be spared to make it hold together. The steering, gearbox, suspension and even the seats was fun to build.
The more, I don't want to say boring, less fun part was the body. By then I almost felt that I was just doing the polishing and polishing a car is not what I call fun but hey, you need to do it anyway.
I would love to see more complex, good looking cars like this and the Porche. I would buy them right away I think.
How about a green Aston Martin Vantage?
It was a huge difference between the Bugatti and the Porches body. The Porche had more holes in it so it was nice to see that was improved to this model.
Need lights. Since it is a model more than for kids to play with I would like to have lights added from start. Optional to buy power source but front and back lights would make it even better than it is now.
Ooh and fix the flimsy doors, they are not very sturdy at all.

What a great job by the designers!

A couple years ago I was "wow"ed by 911, but this one is even better. What a great job by the designers. I especially like the Technical Podcast while building the Bugatti. The designers have done so much work and it really showed in the final product. I used to be a Star Wars fan, but now I am a technical fan. No other Lego themes can match the difficulties that technical sets have. The Bugatti Chiron is definitely the best one YET! I can not wait to see what's coming next after the Chiron! Maybe a Lamborghini, McLaren, or Ferrari? :D

First LEGO Technic Build Experience
on October 7, 2018
Posted by: Vikash
This was my first LEGO technic build and I loved it!
Haven’t made many LEGO sets before, but I throughly enjoyed making the Bugatti Chiron!
I could only spent 1.5hrs per night; I would have preferred to spend more to reduce the overall time to build. Some basic mistakes set me back a bit time, but good learning and experience.
Once the front and back chassis’s are built and joint, the rest comes along nicely.
5 boxes altogether with multiple packets of LEGO in each bag. Sorting the pieces upfront helped along with place items in small bowls for easier access (especially stopping and starting the build process).
I had a missing part, which is annoying. Looking to secure that missing part now (piece from the bag for the boot).
Looking for a cover now to avoid getting duct! Throughly recommend this set and I am looking forward to making another few (albeit the lapse time will be long).

So much fun!

I worked on this build with my nephew and it was an overall great build with many intricate steps. We had a lot of fun working on this car! Plus, it makes a great display piece!
There were only a couple spots where the directions became a bit confusing but with a little “trial and error”, I was able to figure it out!
I’d defiantly like to see more Technic sets like this one on the market. Maybe a Formula 1 car, Ferrari 458 or Mclaren P1? (That would be awesome!)
