Truly amazing build

I was given this as a Christmas gift(I picked it out, of course) and I was so excited to go through the build. This kit definitely does not disappoint. The level of engineering and craftsmanship are excellent.
This kit is not for beginners and needs to be paid attention to on every step. I had a couple of miscues along the way and consider myself far from a novice builder.
That being said, this kit really is just amazing. The working engine and transmission are difficult yet rewarding once they are up and running.
The steering system and the paddle shifters are a great added feature.
I love how sturdy this is after the build and it will be an amazing display piece for quite a long time.

Great building experience but....

I'm rating this set as "Good" mainly for the building experience. It was fun and was great to put together a real working transmission. To see the pistons moving in the 16V (actually a double 8V) engine is always an entertaining experienced.
What has deeply disappointed me is the cheap final look that the car has mainly due the use of stickers. For a set with that price tag I would expect to have -at least- the Bugatti logo and the car control dials printed directly on the pieces. Even the "key" that is used to move the rear wing is branded "Chiron" with a cheap sticker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like this set. It's very complicated and full of technology. The Chiron is also pretty heavy and contains lots of items.

A very satisfying build

I received the Technic Porsche set as a gift some time ago and I loved it. When this Bugatti set came out, I knew I had to have it. This was a very satisfying build! It is intricate and detailed and once the set is together it is stunningly beautiful. I sure hope that this is just the 2nd in a series because I would really like to have more sets like this one!

Massive !

In a word ? MASSIVE.
I have been a Lego Technics fan since I was a kid and I purchased all Technics since the massive Crane MK II in my adult days.
I can say that in term of gear complexity, this kit may not be the best. For me, the best for gear complexity is shared between the MK II crane and the Bucket excavator.
That being said, in term of sturdiness, this kit is one of the most solid one (as it happened that my 3/4 build car fell off the top of my desk (about 2 meters high) and didn't break at all, just a few beams were partially unassembled).
The building experience is just superb, the level of complexity of the build is the best too.
If I have one bemol on that ,is that if you have big fingers, sometime to reach the location to put the piece, you can have some difficulties, but honestly, this adds to the fun of it.
IN short, i give this kit a 9.8/10 note. I only removed 0.2 points only because the of the gear complexity not being the best. But it is by no means simple.
Totaly recommended !
