Very incredible set! So amazed at how many working parts are in this car! Everything from the unique rims to the working w-16 motor and shifting gearbox! The fully functioning awd with real front and rear differentials is a jaw dropping engineering feat! Just add an opening hood amd more visible motor and ill be happy!

First Things First.

Just to clarify, the only reason I would not recommend this to a friend, is the fact that I am not sure if any of my friends have the patience, or the skills.... Anyways, I love this set, I enjoyed building it and I still get a kick out of showing it off to family. I like how since making an actual W engine with Technic pieces would be hard if not impossible, they just made it with a V8 and two I4's (For anybody who doesn't know, I4 stands for Inline 4) But anyway, I really do enjoy this set, and like pushing it around and playing with the gearbox. One of my friends said: "Motorize it!" To which I replied: "You can do that if you wish, but I am not doing it, and if you break it, I will make you rebuild it." That is one thing I saw in a video, I cannot remember who made the video but they compared the Porsche 911 GT-3 R.S. (Which I have built as well, it was my first Technic set I built when I was 9) And the Bugatti, they mentioned how you can remove the engine of the Porsche, to motorize it without killing the look too much, whereas the Bugatti, if you remove the engine to motorize, does kill the look of sorts. I personally do not plan to motorize either, but if you were planning to, you have been warned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

blast to build, amazing motor and gearbox

As a car geek I couldn't resist getting this. Somewhat difficult build, especially the gearbox and motor because everything has to line up and will not work if you miss anything, but that's what really made it for me!

Bugatti Chiron

This set looked amazing when finished and was fun to build. Although when assembling it was difficult to find where to connect certin parts due to lack of highlighting or the angle of the view. Also when finished I was a bit displeased with the suspension and how the doors felt a bit flimsy.

pay close attention to directions

this was the most challenging build i have ever done with a LEGO set. the directions are for the most part clear, but PLEASE BE CAREFUL of the arrows. there are times when you need to flip the parts over or turn them around and if you are not carefully following you will get past a part you have done backwards or connected upside down and when you finally realize it, there is no easy way to go back and fix it without costing yourself HOURS to fix. i had this happen 2 different times. once it cost me about 2.5 hours to go back and fix, the other time was relatively simple. this design slots various parts together so you are more connecting the car together as opposed to building from the ground up. the doors are pretty flimsy but overall i felt a huge sense of accomplishment getting this done. extremely frustrating if you make a mistake you don't catch til it's too late, but the craftsmanship overall makes a great display once you are done. i know this is an expensive set, but i found it more than worth what it cost once you see the entire car come together.

Definite bang for your buck!

I've never been a large fan of Lego Technic, but I've always been a large fan of Bugatti and other exotic cars. When I saw this beast about to be released I know I had to buy it. I swiftly purchased it and I do not regret my decision. Over a weekend of being a recluse and building this set, I am proud of Lego and their ability to capture this exotic speed demon's beauty into a Technic set. Most, if not all of the interior framework for the engine is stunningly accurate- down to the amount of cylinders it fires on! The exterior of the car is surprisingly smooth for a set in the Technic theme, and it easily outmatches the Porsche that was released alongside it. All in all, if you love Lego and you love Technic, this set will be a perfect match for you- and you may very well be surprised how amazing it turns out!

great set loaded with lots of surprising details, from a w-16 valve engine custom tan techic beams, custom hubs and hub labels parts and a bag in trunk all i can say with this set you can never over check your work before attaching it to model
this kit however needs a custom bugatti technic figure (not minifigure) in set to really give it that certain something
podcast is avail for free from lego about this set on the podcast app 9 episodes in all it really sets the mood/ atmosphere when building with this kit.

Hey there! This car wasn't designed to run on its own. Do you mean that it's not rolling when pushed?

If so, something's probably a little off in your build, and rebuilding should help. You'll want to make sure that every piece is in just the right spot, and that everything is pressed together tightly (except gears, wheels, axles, and anything else that needs to turn - those parts need a little space to move).

If you need a hand troubleshooting your build, you can always get in touch at LEGO.com/Service.
