Extremely fun build

Having many Technic sets I am very pleased with this model aside from having a sticker sheet! If you have wondered about getting into LEGO specifically Technic LEGO then I would not recommend this set only because of the difficulty for persons unfamiliar with Technic blocks and functions. Other than that; it is an amazingly fun and intricate build! Buy this and give yourself some time! There were a suspicious amount of spare pieces left that made me “go back” and check but nothing missed!

Hats off to the manual writer!

I had fun building the Fiat 500 and the Aston Martin, and was a little apprehensive about jumping into the Bugatti. I needn't have worried. Building it was very rewarding, even if I did scratch my head a few times trying to figure out how a subassembly plugged into the model. Nevertheless, everything came together perfectly, and the marriage of the two halves just clicked - pun intended.
I even followed the recommendation and listened to the podcasts while building it. Fascinating to hear about the design of the car and the model, and the level of interaction between the Bugatti engineers and the Lego engineers.
As for the model itself, everything works as advertised, my only minor beef is that once it's done you can't really see the transmission in action. Rolling the car in gear does show the pistons moving - nice - but you can't really tell what gear it's in...
Adding to the title of this review, the person who designed the manuals (2 of them) deserves as much praise as the engineers. The build sequence is a work of art!
Highly recommended.

Oh no! It’s very rare for a LEGO® set to be missing pieces. Usually you’ll find them stuck in the packaging, used in place of a similar piece, or hiding somewhere near your building area.

If you’ve checked all over and the parts haven't appeared, don’t worry! It’s super easy to request replacements. Just go to LEGO.build/BricksPieces-BV to get started.

My dream car

I waited so long to buy this set but I finally bit the bullet and bought it. By far the most challenging set I’ve built and the largest one I own to date. I normally build the Star Wars universe sets but since this would be the closest thing to ever owning a real Bugatti, I’m glad I got her.

One of the best

Yes it's challenging and you have to be in the zone and pay attention each step of the way. I would never complain about it being too expensive when you consider everything it took to bring this to market. The idea, the designers, die makers, graphic design, packaging, etc. Everyone seems to break the cost down per piece, but we can't ignore the free shipping. Theoretically this brings the cost per piece down some more. I have to say I've never enjoyed a Lego build more than this. It's a massive, strong model and very educational. I don't regret my purchase at all. Save your pennies.

Technical, but fun!

Just completed building my Bugatti last night and it was a really fun experience. I took my time and did a little bit as I could.
I'm impressed with the degree of complexity in the components such as the transmission, drive train, engine, etc. It was fun, but stressful, to bring the pieces together.
This isn't the first of these that I've built. I have the Beetle, VW van, and the Aston Martin. This Bugatti was by far the most complex, but well with the effort.
On the other hand, for some feedback. I too (as I read in another review) was a bit disappointed with the doors and how they attached. After the secure nature of every other component, it seems the doors were not given the same level of precision. Also, while I think the stickers are well done, printed parts would be a preference.
Another comment, maybe just me, but I'm disappointed not to see some explanation somewhere of how the transmission functions or is meant to function. I think mine works correctly, but I don't know how to tell. It would be nice if there was some detail on this available.
Again, overall this was great. I'm anxious to see the next super car. The Bugatti will be hard to beat.

Amazing Build
on March 7, 2020

This car was so much fun to build, and a great addition to my collection. The directions were easy to follow, and the numbered boxes and packages made it easy to navigate the 3,599 pieces. Well worth the price. I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say about this set. LEGO really knocked it out of the park with this set.

Easy But Flawed

I Really Loved The Mechanics of the set but the is a few spots with structural weaknesses like for instance the doors which are not attached strongly and and i feel with a little ingenuity the doors could’ve had the ability to lock.
But overall still impressive and exciting to build.
