Impressive truck

I spent the 20-30 minutes I have to myself at the end of the day over 3 weeks working on this truck - sometimes more as the build of the cab section was very addictive - excellent details in the engine and interior even including a bunk in the sleeper - the mechanism is wonderful allowing both lifting and dropping the container over the side of the trailer - stabilizers keep the trailer from tipping - as they should - be careful with the gearing matching and you will have a fun build - if not a frustrating take apart and re-do! One small touch would be great - Cargo in the container! Perhaps some pallets of boxes etc!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there! It's great to hear that you liked this set and that you enjoyed the details our designer added! I agree it would be amazing if there was cargo in the container and the great thing is you could make a few pallets and boxes yourself!
You can purchase additional pieces to add to your set on our LEGO.com/Shop Pick a Brick page or on our LEGO.com/Service Bricks and Pieces page! You can create your own pallets or cargo and travel world wide with your new Mack Anthem!
We really appreciate your feedback and we will be sure to pass it along! Happy Building!
great set ,nice to have a different style to many of the others.the change in the engine A+ , colours are good.all in all it's a good set, especially the b model.(build these before placing decals.)a bit pricey, but everyone says that?.great parts and colours, for building your own ideas. 35 years collecting lego and over 1500 sets, and this is my first review ever. thanks Legotech.......
Everyone who has seen this has taken it off the shelf and played with it, it looks outstanding!
The hardest part of the build is the fourth set of bags, I spent about four and a half hours on it.
My favorite part of this is thae way the steering wheel tilts and turns as the steering on the rear of the truck is turned.
The hood tilts up showing the engine which is not the usual V engine, it is a nice look.
My only real complaints are that the antennae on the doors come off easily as does the front of the truck. I can't let most people play with it as they are not going to be careful with it. Also the cranes have a problem lifting the cargo container, maybe I am not doing it right, but the cargo box with the chains almost tips the truck over when taking the container off of the truck.
As stated before it looks amazing, the features are cool. The steering and the engine are a welcome change. Whoever designed this it looks great and the steering is cool to play with. The engine is nice to look at. The outriggers and winches are not ideal for me.
When I first saw this set, it went straight onto the 'must get' list. I was quite surprised at the amount of small parts, but this only added to the challenge, and delight at the end of the build. The mechanical concepts throughout the model are very faithfully replicated, and it is a fun machine to operate and look at. Other reviews have discussed the issues of gearing and some missing/incorrect parts, but for prospective Mack builders, jump in and grab it. The Athem is well worth the time and effort, thank you Lego, please carry on with these!
Just building Legos as a hobby this was one of my first Technic sets i have built i think its very detailed on the truck part, I’m a fan of simi trucks this one looks great and is fun to build a little high priced but over all it's worth it would recommend to truck fans. I am now on my third set it was that much fun to build. The only recommendation i have to Lego is for there next set is to have the truck full R.C. with a light set that would be stunning.
