I have two...
I'll just bullet a few of the things that make the camera THE camera for my work...
Image quality at high ISO is remarkable. I frequently shoot above 8000 iso, prior this was borderline useable, now, I can shoot away with confidence, easily right up to 25k and not even think about it.
12 frames per second... this can make the difference in getting THE shot...
Autofocus is remarkably fast, much faster in all conditions than the 5D3. It is accurate and very quick to grab focus. With the adjustablity now offered it is easy to find something that out paces my subjects.
Build and size, I have larger hands so this body feels "normal" in my hands, I can understand how it might be large and heavy for some... perfect for me.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, fast autofocus, accurate autofocus, 12 frames per second, high iso capabilities
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Must for the Working Professional Photographer

First time I used the camera was at the Army/Navy game on December 14, 2013. The game was played late afternoon (3PM) and in the snow, and eventually sleet/rain mix. The camera performed like a champ!! While playing with the camera at home, I shot a performance in a coffee house using available (candlelight) light at ISO 51,200 with minimal grain. Although a little pricey, this camera is well worth the price. Highly recommended!!
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, great low light performance

I'm so impressed at the quality of photographs which emerge from this camera. There's quite a learning curve, and in 2 weeks I've only begun to scratch the surface of what the 1DX is capable of.
It is a heavy camera, but packed with great features. The shutter speed makes it a great camera for action shots. It has a mammoth ISO range which allows for great low-light images.
Great job as always, Canon!

Simply amazing

I have owned the canon 40D, 50D and 7D cameras and loved each one of them. When I removed the 1D X out of the box, I was surprised how large the camera actually was. It is a little on the heavy side, so be prepared. The first picture I took with the EOS 1D X took my breath away. The clarity and color was so superior to anything I had ever seen before from a camera. I knew at that moment, the 1D X was worth every penny it cost. This camera is truly an amazing work of art. Thank you Canon!

i am in awe about the 1dx camera. it is the best camera by far i have ever used. i had previously been a user of the alternate brand but this camera totally blows me away. the focus image quality ease of use layout of the controls and low light capability are wonderful. when i use the camera with a great telephoto lens the canon 300mm 2.8 the images cannot be believed. i thank canon for giving us this wonderful camera.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Ai Servo has problem in low light and high frame r

I have shot about 10 football games averaging 3,000 photos per game. I have shot 4 soccor games averaging 3,000 - 4,000 pictures per game.
if the game is during the day in good light no issues, if the game is at nght the focus drifts off when i am following a player. it happens at the worst time because when a play happens that you really want you tend to rapid fire.
I use spot focus ISO 4000 lense 70-200 IS L II
the bottom line it i am losing alot of good shots because this keeps happening. at first i thought it was a scene i picked or user error. it is not.
what is worse is when the camera works it is amazing, but then you will have several key shots that are just out of focus.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: ai servo issue in low light

Best camera out there

as both an indoor sports and portrait photographer, I've rented this camera numerous times, while saving up to buy it. Nothing matches this body for high ISO performance, almost noise free at 32000 with an awesome burst rate when needed ... black dogs running at top speed in low light are tack sharp and the detail is A M A Z I N G !!!
this camera is soooo worth the price, I'm already saving for a #2 :)
Pros: high iso performance, image quality
Cons: weight
I would recommend this to a friend!
