Cooktop material problematic- warranty not honored

Defective cooktop got permanent white marks right away (and internal smoke, but that cleared up). Warranty support sent someone out who reported the unit was safe to use and didn’t include his own opinion that the cooktop material was a problem. “Support” then suggested using Affresh although I explained it was the material, not food debris. Bought it and used Affresh of course didn’t fix the problem, now “support” declares the problem “cosmetic” and not covered by warranty. I have a brand new kitchen full of KitchenAid appliances, and all looks great except the cooktop looks like it’s been very used and abused for years! How can that be OK for a new cooktop under warranty? Answer: it’s not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please Help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been unable to use on a regular basis because the kitchen aid retractable downdraft is making a loud noise and has no suction power. Kitchen Aid repair specialist service the unit on 7/23.The noise went away for a day and has return. He states the suction problem is in the duct work. The original HVAC company that installed the duct work states it the downdraft that not working. Will get a 2nd opinion from another HVAC Co.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It offer a wide range of element sizes including a super large triple burner all the way down to a simmer burner. Great looking metal knobs. There is a ring around the knobs on the glass to prevent crumbs from falling into the electrical area inside the cooktop.
