[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to update my kitchen. My previous stovetop was a kitchenaid also. It was 15 years old and still worked great. It showed lots of wear & hard to keep shining clean. I love my new one. It was an easy decision to make due to customer reviews. Yes it cost more than I expected & wanted to spend, however, you do get what you pay for. It also fit my space well without any further, construction.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace the Kitchen Aid top we had and chose this one. Apparently, and we did not know it, but the top we DID have was one of the "Best' Tops Kitchen Aid makes. Well . . . that's good, except I apparently killed it AND we were super crazy about the big fan motor and vent that was under the cabinet for that particular model. Happier with this top, but BOY are they hard to keep clean!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacement of a previous KitchenAid cooktop that finally shattered after several years of use. Knobs have been placed in the center front rather than to the side like the old one which is a little inconvenient but otherwise a great cooktop that meets all our needs.
This unit was installed in our new build 3 years ago. While the elements work well, the glass surface is subpar compared to our inexpensive range from Sears. The chrome base for the knobs come unattached from the glass. A chip on the edge of the side resulted in a large crack from it to one of the unsecured Knob holes (caused by a weakness, I would imagine). The surface scratches easily, my old range had my teenagers using it and when cleaned looked as new as the day it was installed, not the case with this one. Also, some odd squiggly lines showed up beneath the surface after just a few uses. I have been very unhappy with this. Would NOT recommend
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally happy with the cooktop - it does the job. Burners are hard to see as there is little to no outline. Knobs go from High to Low heat turning left to right, which is counter-intuitive for me. Safety features are somewhat annoying - burner shuts down if a previously heated pan is lifted off - what if I want to flip something or shake the skillet - seems unnecessary. Easy to clean.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a full kitchen suit from KitchenAid and love the styling. The cooktop unfortunately is lacking in power. We moved from an older home that had a KitchenAid cooktop from the 80's in the kitchen and it still worked beautifully. It out cooked the new model hands down. Our wall mounted microwave is quite disappointing too. It seems underpowered. It won't fully pop a bag of popcorn. The Amazon microwave we had before, that was 1/8th the price, would drink the KitchenAid microwave under the table and then steal his girl.
