Love this cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this cooktop. Took me a couple of times using it to understand it, but I love it. Also, like how the exhaust fan comes on automatically when it senses heat. It is just so cool!

Disappointed with Durability and Warranty Support

I invested in the KitchenAid KCES556HSS00 cooktop as part of a complete kitchen renovation 11 months ago. While the design and functionality initially impressed me, I was disheartened when the glass surface cracked in the corner during routine use—simply sliding a saucepan.
Despite being within the 12-month warranty period, KitchenAid denied coverage, attributing the damage to an object being dropped, which was not the case. This response was based solely on a photograph, without a thorough inspection.
For a high-end appliance, I expected better durability and customer support. This experience has left me questioning the quality and service commitment of the KitchenAid brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Where are the burners?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was part of builder's package in newly built house. Seems to cook well and evenly. Cleanup is easy of course but I find it to smear easily regardless of cleaning with soapy water or Weimann's stove top cleaner. Takes a lot of careful buffing to get out the strokes left after the cleaning process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have been happier if the knob controls had been aligned vertically to the side rather than horizontally directly in front for the 36" model. Additionally, the foam lining around the perimeter was shredded upon product arrival and that suggested a rather shoddy attention to detail. I have called on KitchenAid customer support to requesting a repair team to my home to examine the product and make appropriate repairs or modifications.
