Love the triple burner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to update my kitchen. My previous stovetop was a kitchenaid also. It was 15 years old and still worked great. It showed lots of wear & hard to keep shining clean. I love my new one. It was an easy decision to make due to customer reviews. Yes it cost more than I expected & wanted to spend, however, you do get what you pay for. It also fit my space well without any further, construction.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really love the 5 burners and the smooth cook top. Our old cooktop had the burners sticking up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous cooktop was a delight. It was installed approximately 1996 and I loved it. This new one is a big disappointment! The cermamic-glass top is a different material. Possibly metal coils in the surface and it is a chore to clean. There is no simple wiping it clean!!!!! If I have a boil over it takes an hour to clean the surface. I don't know who your engineers, designers or whatever you call them are thinking but they obviously do not cook on what they have created because it is a disaster! I will never buy another Kitchenaid applicance. I purchased an expensive 48" Kitchenaid built-in 1.5 years ago and hate it. Loved my first one I had since 1996. This new one is sickening to say the least!!!!!! You people at Kitchenaid need to improve your appliances or you may not have a bright future. You have lost me as a happy customer and I can never recommend your products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this cooktop. Took me a couple of times using it to understand it, but I love it. Also, like how the exhaust fan comes on automatically when it senses heat. It is just so cool!

Disappointed with Durability and Warranty Support
on May 15, 2025

I invested in the KitchenAid KCES556HSS00 cooktop as part of a complete kitchen renovation 11 months ago. While the design and functionality initially impressed me, I was disheartened when the glass surface cracked in the corner during routine use—simply sliding a saucepan.
Despite being within the 12-month warranty period, KitchenAid denied coverage, attributing the damage to an object being dropped, which was not the case. This response was based solely on a photograph, without a thorough inspection.
For a high-end appliance, I expected better durability and customer support. This experience has left me questioning the quality and service commitment of the KitchenAid brand.

Cooktop material problematic- warranty not honored
on June 6, 2025

Defective cooktop got permanent white marks right away (and internal smoke, but that cleared up). Warranty support sent someone out who reported the unit was safe to use and didn’t include his own opinion that the cooktop material was a problem. “Support” then suggested using Affresh although I explained it was the material, not food debris. Bought it and used Affresh of course didn’t fix the problem, now “support” declares the problem “cosmetic” and not covered by warranty. I have a brand new kitchen full of KitchenAid appliances, and all looks great except the cooktop looks like it’s been very used and abused for years! How can that be OK for a new cooktop under warranty? Answer: it’s not.

Where are the burners?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with this unit, but I find it hard to see where the burners are. I almost always have to check a copy of where the burners are. I wish they were more easily defined.
