Good features, well-made product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop replaced a previous Kitchenaid cooktop with touch controls. It has taken me some time to get used to the knobs, but I think if I had started with knobs originally, these would seem fine. They are sturdy, easy to operate, and easy to keep clean. I don't like that they go across the front of the cooktop as I think they would be better along the side. The 5 burners are well marked and responsive to their heat levels, though I think they get hotter than my previous touch top at the same levels. Taking me time to get used to them. I find the large 3 sizes burner at the back left to be more difficult to use with a large heavy pan. Would work better at the front. The five different burners cover all of your cooking needs from fast boil to slow simmer. I was sorry to find that this top seems to be harder to keep clean than my previous model. I am quite particular about cleaning it frequently. The stovetop has a nice look on my countertop, is well made, and reasonably priced. I would and have recommended Kitchenaid stovetops to others.

Easy to clean glass top, heats very quickly, a lot of space. I cook for a large family at times and have more room for my pots and pans than before on the old 36” cooktop. Love it!,,

Functionally great, but scratches easily

We are in a brand new home with this cooktop, have the same pans we used for years on our previous GE glass cooktop, and after just one year, have sustained multiple scratches. Our GE never had a single scratch. It is just adults in the home who are careful with what is set on the cooktop, so we are not even sure how it is getting scratched. If this continues, will probably not look very good in a few short years :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heats up fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the cooktop recently for our new home. It has lots of options for different size pots and pans. I'm very impressed how quickly the elements heat up. Also, it works very well at maintaining a nice low-heat simmer. We're still experimenting with the ultra-power and even-melt options, and we're very pleased overall with the performance of the cooktop. I'll be very interested to experience the cleanability of the cooktop over a period of time as I experienced difficulties with a competing brand at our previous home.

Even cooking temps, but hard to maintaine surface

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my cooktop 6 months ago. I really like the performance of it, but the only problem I've had is cleaning it. It is hard to keep it shiny and clean. Even using the suggested cleaner, you have to really use a lot of pressure to clean and to shine the surface when done. Also I had used one of the front burners and removed the pan from the burner so of course the surface was still hot. I dropped some butter on it while I was reaching over it to put the butter in the pot on the back burner. It left a mark on the cooktop that I can not get removed. I seem to spend more time cleaning the cooktop than I do the rest of the whole kitchen. That is something I'm not happy with.
