Hard to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooking elements are good. It is very difficult to clean. I use the products you sent along with the cooktop, but it takes a of effort to maintain it. I have had glass cooktops in the past which were a lot easier too maintain. Cleaning the cooktop is a big part of using it.

Nice cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used the cooktop a few times, but have found it to work well. I originally was looking at an induction top primarily because the controls were a touch screen built into the top. However, it was not going to be available to support my kitchen remodel schedule. I ended up going with this one to meet the schedule. A couple of weeks after installation, my husband had a stroke. He has some vision loss and is having difficulty navigating his electronic devices. Although I did not want these knobs, they have been just the right thing for his condition. He can see them well and his long term memory easily knows how to work a knob that turns. The other thing I do like about this cooktop is that it has a large double burner on the right front. My previous KA cooktop had a similar burner on the left front. I have found that since I am right-handed the placement of this burner on the right is better and is closer to the platters, bowls, etc. that I am using for transfer of food. The only reason I dropped this to a four is the knobs because they make cleanup more difficult.

Remodeled kitchen/Replaced drop-in flat top stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop cooks well. The black top requires a lot of elbow grease to keep the surface smudge free. Black shows everything. Wish I found one with grey tones like my previous cooktop. I do like the variety of burner sizes. I am looking forward to canning this summer and testing how well the burners perform. the 36" size is nice and roomy.

Wish I'd known before I bought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burners are very difficult to see unless there is direct light on them -- a BIG negative.
It also sits enough lower than the old cooktop, so that I had to have the drawer below reconfigured. Buyer beware.

Great cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for a total kitchen remodel. I chose all Kitchenaid appliances for our kitchen. The unit was installed and has worked extremely well. I love the fact that you can stop a boil over by adjusting the temperature and the unit lowers the heat immediately.
