This is our second Cuisinart meat grinder. Nothing wrong with the first one, except I forgot that you are not supposed to put the washable pieces in the dishwasher, so I did (and it wasn't pretty)...boohoo. It would have been almost as expensive to replace the washable parts as to buy a brand-new one, so I bought the same model, again.
Great piece of equipment for the home Kitchen. Highly recommend it.
Just follow the instructions and don't put any part of it in the dishwasher -- the voice of experience speaking.
