Love this mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I I sold my old KitchenAid mixer as it was the big lift bowl type and it was too heavy for me to lift anymore and was too tall to fit underneath my kitchen cabinets. Then I decided to buy this new heritage model and I absolutely love it. The color is so soft and neutral and beautiful and the mixer works Perfect. Also it fits on my current countertop under my cabinets and I will use it more often because of that feature. If you need a new mixer do yourself a favor and buy this one!

A dream come true...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my KitchenAid mixer as a Christmas gift from my husband. As he said, it was never coming off my list, so he might as well get it. I truly love it. It has expanded my joy of baking greatly by simply being what it promises, a tool that delivers. The motor is quiet, yet powerful. Cleaning is a breeze. The overall look of the mixer is almost sculptural, and I am overjoyed to display it, as such, prominently in my kitchen. The dream has stood up to reality as, simply, the best kitchen appliance that I have ever had the pleasure of using.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used it several times since I got it about a month ago, and the only issue I have had is the locking mechanism does don't keep the head in place while kneading dough. I have to hold it down, which takes me away from other tasks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful but weak

I got this as a gift for my birthday, and was excited to use it. I noticed during the first use that it wobbled violently when on any speed above low while making banana bread. It couldn’t handle Christmas cookie dough and not all of the flour got incorporated, while my mom’s 31 year old KitchenAid mixer handled the same recipe with ease (we live together and had them going at the same time). Just now when I was making dough for cinnamon rolls, I had to hold the mixer while it was in use to keep it from bouncing around until finally I gave up and just kneaded the dough by hand. This was not a large recipe, just four cups of flour was used. I’m really disappointed because I grew up using my mom’s mixer, which seems to be twice as powerful as this mixer. We have never once worried about wearing hers out, and I’m afraid to do more than beat liquids on low in this one. It’s lovely as a counter top decoration, but I don’t know how much more use I’ll get out of it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
