What a treasure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m going to break my review into two sections: performance and aesthetics.
Performance:
Asked to use and evaluate the KitchenAid 100th Anniversary 5 quart mixer and I’ve been using it for about 11 days now, sometimes, twice a day. I wanted to heavily use it to provide the best information before submitting my review, and I’ve really taken it through its paces making everything from bread, pizza and pasta doughs to cake batters and icings to whipping eggs and cream. Through all these tasks, the mixer performed like a champ. The motor never hesitated while kneading the doughs, nor bogged down while adding cup after cup of powdered sugar for the icings. No matter the task, it ran smoothly and effortlessly.
While I have several KA hub attachments, the only ones I’ve used so far on this mixer are the pasta roller and cutter. The hub attachments fit as they should and the mixer performed as it should. The operation of rolling and cutting the pasta dough was flawless as the motor kept humming along without being taxed or overheating.
Aesthetics:
When you open the outer shipping box the first thing you notice is the redesigned packaging. It’s very eye catching in its soft blues and whites. However, that pales in comparison when you take the mixer out of the box. The mixer is a stunner, but not in the eye popping over the top way. It’s classic, elegant and understated in overall appearance. It’s a soft shade of pale blue, with white enameling on the bowl, a white power cord, band, knob, and hub plate. The hub plate and band commemorate the anniversary with “100 years, 1919 -2019.” The font used on the band for “KitchenAid” heralds back to their roots. Frankly, I like it much more than the modern one.
I inspected the mixer with a fine toothed comb and fit and finish were flawless and perfect.
I regret I did not take pictures of the mixer or the wonderful creations it helped me prepare.
There are two things that I think would make this better: The first is a return to putting a sprig on the beater shaft. I think it really does make a difference in keeping the beater in proper placement without it feeling as though it’s going to fall off during tough tasks. The second is to go back to including a small recipe and instruction booklet in the packaging.
In sum, this a beautifully designed mixer that is both stunning and functional and commemorates 100 great years of KitchenAid products and innovation. Happy Anniversary, KitchenAid!

My wife received this beautifull machine today... what shall I say... I have the happiest wife at home... worldwide.
Thank all the people who works on this wunderfull machine...great job!
By the way... we already used a Kitchenaid mixer, but the new color fit better in our Kitchen... see picture...
The only think we looking now is the 5-quart White Coated Stainless Bowl... this isn‘t available in Germany. May someone could help me to get this extra Bowl.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a KitchenAid stand mixer for nearly 17 years and it has become my constant kitchen companion. So when I recently received the new limited edition stand mixer, I couldn’t wait to put it to use! I’ve used it on several occasions over the last couple of weeks to make cookies and breads. I’ve also used it to mix meatloaf and shred cooked chicken. In the past I would often use a food processor for these tasks, but with the mixer they are much easier and cleanup is simpler. This mixer is top quality, heavy and sturdy, and is able to perform all these tasks smoothly and effortlessly.
The mixing bowl is about 1 inch taller than my old one which helps in keeping mixtures in the bowl and not splashing out. I was happy to get the splash guard with this mixer as I have wanted to try one. However, it’s doesn’t work quite as well as expected. It does help to keep mixtures from spraying out of the bowl, but when using the spout for pouring into the bowl, I seem to make nearly as much of a mess as I did without it. It’s still a nice feature, just not as useful as I’d hoped.
I really like the color of this mixer. The grayish blue gives it a vintage, classic look yet also modern at the same time. It’s more neutral than it seems and adds a splash of color to my kitchen.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my new KitchenAid mixer and am sure it will be my new kitchen companion for years to come!

Beautiful Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this beautiful machine for a week now and it works so well.The color is misty blue with a stainless steel bowl and the outside of the bowl is coated white. I do hand wash all the accessories rather than using the dishwasher-personal preference.The wire whisk is aluminum and does have to be hand washed.
The attachments come on and off quite easily (wire whisk, flat beater and dough hook). I have used the whisk to whip cream and it works like a dream, so fast and easy.
The dough hook was used for pizza dough and for a loaf of English Muffin bread-I followed the directions not to go above speed 2 for mixing dough. My machine handled the mixing very well. The pouring shield came in handy while adding flour to the bowl. Also, I made a batch of oatmeal/cherry cookies and a raspberry coffeecake with the flat beater.I love the tilt head to stop the machine to scrape the
sides of the bowl.
This KitchenAid Stand Mixer has a quite powerful motor and will last for a long time in my kitchen. I don't have any attachments yet for the power hub but am looking forward to getting the slicer/shredder and the fruit and vegetable strainer set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new mixer! I was already an owner of a classic white 4.5 quart mixer and have been for twenty plus years. That mixer has never failed me and I expect this one never will either. This one has a five quart bowl which is even better for those larger batches of cookies. The color is gorgeous and I love that it now comes with the splash guard. I couldn’t possibly recommend KitchenAid mixers more. They are a bit pricier than some other brands but honestly are worth every penny. You will never regret the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for years and continued to put it off. My husband bought me the 100th Anniversary edition for Christmas and I fell in love with it from the moment that I opened it and even more with each use. I never could decide on what color I wanted and the 100th year anniversary edition is such a beautiful misty blue. I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas gift this past year. It works amazingly well and I have been more excited about finding ways to use it continuously in my kitchen. Baking has never been so much more fun! I would recommend this product to everyone!

This is my first ever kitchenaid mixer, it is beautiful! I received it today & open it right away because i’m too excited &can’t wait to use it. Unfortunately upon opening the box the styro was damaged,there are chips in the coating both in the unit & the mixer blade attach to the head, the metal strip on each side have bubbles & is kinda loose in end of the strip. I’m very sad because this is my first kitchenaid mixer & it was an anniversary gift from my husband. It’s his birthday next week & I know that I will not be able to use this since I need to send it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
