I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I work from home and am self employed. A good quality printer & scanner is an absolute must. This printer has been the perfect fit for my family`s lifestyle as well as my job. It`s quick, easy to use and prints and scans clear quality and colored pages. I use both the document feeder scanning and flat bed scanning quite a bit.It was super simple to set up. When you open up the box, right on top are clean and clear instructions to help you get started. It is step by step and I never once had to look up further direction. It came together quickly and easily. I have a mac book so the AppleAir Printing feature made it even easier, I didn`t have to install or download any of the drivers for the printer to connect and work properly.One complaint would be the shear size of the thing. If you have a home office it wouldn`t be too big of a deal but if you have your printer out in the open this may not be right for you as it takes up a lot of space. It`s roughly 21" wide, 15" high and 15" deep. I would love it more if it could be a bit more compact. The other complaint I have is that the feeder scanning sometimes doesn`t grab cleanly and will bend the corner of a page or come through slightly of kilter.The price feels reasonable to me for how much it has going on. It prints in b&w as well as color, it has two scanning options - a feeder and a flat bed, and it faxes if you find that to be a necessity. The screen on front is nice, clear and easy to navigate. It also comes with up to a year of ink. Overall, I would say this is a great buy for anyone with a home office or business.

Good Basic Multi-Use Printer

If you need a good quality multi-function printer/copier/fax that is economical and easy to use this is a great option. It was easy to set up and ready to go almost out of the box. Installing/replacing the ink cartridges is simple as well as the adding of paper. The functions are simple to use. It is a bit bulky and on the more stalwart side though.

Efficiency: The product carries out its essential tasks (printing/scanning/fax) in a smooth, swift manner. Making use of a number of quality features, such as the auto-two-sided printing, 50 sheet automatic document feeder, High speed printing, capacity for up to 500 paper sheets, ability to connect using wi-fi, Near field communication helps create a truly powerful tool in a business setting. Both the printer and the program you install on your computer to connect to the printer are intuitively designed which makes for a very satisfying and to-the-point user experience.Quality: I was pleasantly surprised to find, that when I had accidentally printed something that was supposed to be 4x6 inches in full Letter size that the quality was perfect! As was the case for just about every image/documented I`ve printed since, no smudges, honestly haven`t seen any issues with ink distribution, the quality is about as true to the image as one could expect from a high quality ink printer. Definitely happy with this.Problems: If I had any complaints about the product it would really just have to be that the manner in which each tray is set seems to be counter intuitive. Most features of the printer are very smooth in execution, however removing the trays and returning them, with the cover on just feels like a very awkward interruption to the flow of using it. It`s not a real issue but an experience that I think can be smoothed out. Otherwise I`m quite happy with the product.Overall: I`d like to say overall I believe this printer to be somewhat of a powerhouse, 3 major functions in one machine that has a generally lower maintenance cost than other products that promote similar benefits. It`s met my requirements nicely, twice fold when I consider the quality of life enhancements it has the allow me to usually just sit in a totally different room, uninterrupted from my work while I can print anything I need at any given time. The quality is always top notch, whether it be printing, or scanning, and if for any reason I`m in a hurry I`ve no reason to worry because it does its job quickly.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.Item: Brother MFC-J5945DW Color Inkjet PrinterSetup: I couldn`t believe how easy this printer was to set up. I`ve set up a good half a dozen printers before but never had such a seamless experience. The instructions are provided and are so completely clear. The printer itself, once plugged in, provided instructions for set up as well. Overall, I really love this printer. The pros: - Great print quality. I have printed typical colored fonts and wording, and also full pictures. The quality is great every time. - Fast printing. I have my printer set up in a separate room from my computer. As soon as I hit "print", I can get up and go to get my page(s). They are ready and waiting for me every time. - Easy to use. This printer is incredibly easy to figure out how to use. The screen on it and the large "panel" makes it simple, and always includes instructions for how to handle any situation (i.e., paper jam, out of paper, etc). I love that I don`t have to scratch my head and spend hours trying to fix a paper jam or something. - Quiet printing. I rarely hear the printer going when I`m in another room. I like that it isn`t super loud. I once heard it make kind of a strange sound - as if it had bumped against something - but I haven`t heard it or had any issues like that since. There is one thing I don`t love...the cons: - The printer is big. It`s a very big printer, which doesn`t fit on my small desk. Not a con overall, just for me. Be sure to have sufficient space to fit a good-sized printer. I am loving this printer, and it`s getting a lot of use every week!

Awesome (But Enormous) All-Around Printer

We`ve had this printer for over a week now nd are still discovering the great features. This printer truly is a great all-in-one printer. You can print from laptops, computers and your phone, scan and fax, too (if you have a landline.) I work freelance and always need to be able to print and send contracts and other paperwork back and forth to clients. This printer makes it really easy to do that. It works pretty quickly. I was able to print a 200 page document in about 15 minutes, which I thought was perfect compared to my old printer. This is really handy for freelancers and small business owners. The only thing I`m not a fan of is the size. It`s HUGE and will need its own little table. Right now we have it on the floor. I would recommend if you can deal with the size.

Item: Brother MFC-J5945DW InkJet Assembly: I received this item in exchange my unbiased opinion. The instructions were very clear and it made setting this up very easy. It is slightly heavy so I do recommend you have somebody to help you if it needs to be lifted up somewhere or carried long distances.Reliability: I found this printer to be very reliable, I did not run into any problems. With previous Brands I`ve ran into paper getting stuck or the printer freezing but with the Brother brand I am yet to have had any issue. This printer also seems very sturdy; I`m sure it will work well for a long time. Features: I love us simple it is to go from printing to copying and everything else. This printer is also the perfect size for an office or a home office. It`s not a small printer but it`s also not too big. When sending files from my phone or computer to the printer it only takes seconds for it to process and it is very quickly printed. The touch screen was slightly confusing at first and did take me some time to get use to. I was very happy that it came with the ink; it does seem to use slightly more than my last printer.Price: I definitely think the price is reasonable. It`s great quality and works wonders.Overall: Great printer, copier, scanner! I definitely recommend this!

Large ink tank and vivid colors

The only miss is the slot for the cable is a bit awkward to put in if you are not using wifi. I was amazed for how it comes with a large tank of ink that they claim will last for an entire year. Overall, I love this printer and I will see how long the ink would last. Printing speed is a bit on the slow side but quality is excellent.

The Brother BV printer/scanner/fax device is really great. The packaging and quick set up guide for this machine made the setup easy and seamless. I can access all components of the machine from my desktop, mmy IPad and my cell phone. The addition of the Brother three in one device was very helpful to my office. I am so happy to work with this device which is fast, scans perfectly, copies great and faxes accurately.
