I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The setup for the printer is a little tedious. You have to keep going back and forth between the printer and computer to get thru all the steps. Once the setup process was complete, the printer worked great. I did have difficulty with it continuing to go offline. I would have to go back in and reconnect it to the wifi. It`s a great printer and prints clean and clear. I love the double tray. I use cardstock often, so I love having the option to switch between the trays to choose my paper choice for that print.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great home office printer

The Brother MFC-J5945DW Injet is a great home office printer. It has a huge capacity for paper, long lasting ink cartridges, and the print quality is what you would find on a much larger industrial printer. The printer is larger than a typical home printer so it needs a little more space due to a back feeder and weight. It prints small projects quickly and the settings were easy to alter. Large projects (over 100 pages) took quite a while but the quality was wonderful. I was really impressed with the ease of setting up such a commercial style of office equipment. I did need two people to get it out of the box but it only has a power plug to hook up. The driver cd installation was easy albeit a little time consuming (about 45 min). The screen on the printer had very easy and clear instructions with ink, paper and feeder use/ installation. The fax and scan functions are also easy and user friendly. Pros: large paper capacity that doesn`t seem to jam-- even when printing large files double sidedhigh print volume ink cartridges that are super easy to install and changemany paper/ print options including 2 sided and bookletfeeder tray for odd size papers/ envelopes/ photosCons: paper trays have a removable cover that has to be taken off and replaced to put in paperOverall-- I think the Brother printer all in one is a great option for a work from home office or small business. It has all the functions needed and is easy to use and set up.

The perfect printer

This printer replaced an Epson model that I`ve owned for quite some time. I felt that my old printer used entirely much ink and it wasn`t wireless. This one is going to be the solution to my printer issues. While larger than my old printer, it`s still a reasonable size and fits nicely on my desk. It also feels solid and well made. It has every single feature that I could ask for. It does duplex jobs with ease and without jamming. I also appreciate the hidden phone jacks and USB ports; looks nice and neat. The best feature on this printer is the lightning fast speed with which it prints. I actually laughed when my test page printed. I thought the sound it made was in preparation to print. Nope....just my printed page being delivered. I couldn`t even believe it. Everything I`ve printed thus far is crisp and colorful. If the ink lasts as long as it`s supposed to (it comes with a year`s supply) then I shouldn`t need a printer for a very long time. This does it all.

Quality printing from anywhere in the house

It`s my personal motto, so it would make sense that the equipment I appreciate most are those that perform to task in a quality manner. This printer does just that. I`ve been using a different printer for a while now, and though I work from home, I do not work from just my office, I move throughout both floors, working in various rooms, and I was forever having to reconnect with the other printer. This new Brother printer has not dropped yet. The quality of the print jobs so far have been great overall, and I am hopeful this new inkvestment tank will turn out to save me some money!Pros:Set up was super easy. I stuffed its trays and let it print away, sending all types of docs and graphics through it, and I`ve been pretty satisfied with the quality I`m seeing. Print directly from online apps, though when printing pics I did notice some color distortions compared to my old printer, but it prints out some fantastic png files...high quality look...actually going to frame something I recently printed because the color and clarity is that good!! Clear characters and lines...even a spreadsheet looks clear in the tiniest text sizeScanning was just as good.Trays and feeder user friendly.It`s a solid machine, quality looking.Multi-functional all-in-one machine great for a small business.Cons:Its BIG! It takes up some counter spaceThe printer was a bit heavy to carry up to the second floor office..it weighs a little over 50lbsI`ve had that extra paper feed though every once in a while...1 every 15 pgs or soI removed the lids on each of the paper trays because they are not needed for function and just get in the way when putting in paper.Overall I`m satisfied with the Brother printer and happy with the features included...making my life easier and more efficient. Lets see how the "inkvestment" holds up!

I upgraded from a much smaller home printer to this one. I love how easy this printer is to use. Very user friendly interface, setup only took a few minutes and we were ready to go. I love the two sided printing option! Colors are true and text is crisp and clear. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend this product for your small business needs!

Based on what I have experienced with this machine so far, I would give it an initial Five Star rating; however, at this time, I can only give it Four because I can't yet account for durability or longevity and, therefore, am unable to comment on value over time.
Having said that, I can say that I am loving this printer! For an inkjet printer it is blazing fast. I have owned various brands of printer and none of them even comes close to the speed of this Brother. I think it is even faster than Brother claims it is. That includes color printing. Brother claims "first page out" time to be six seconds and it may actually be quicker than that. Typed pages and color look very good.
The 600 page paper capacity means longer intervals between loading paper, and the versatility of the multi-purpose tray is an additional convenience. I'm unable to comment on the "INKvestment Tank System" at this time, except to say that the cartridge ports are easily accessible and the cartridges are simple to install.

Hardware and Software Work Well

To date documents and photos print well. I am pleased that photos even print well on plain paper. Copies of documents scanned via the Automatic Document Feeder are not printed at an angle compared to the paper edges, but are perfectly alligned! I have not yet used the Fax function. The printer is not noisy and printing from the computer via Wi-Fi is only delayed by a second or two. Looks well made and has a comprehensive on-line user manual.
