We have had the printer for about a year now and it has worked great on all printing jobs - from regular jobs to double sided, and card stock. Ink consumption is great - cartridges last much longer than other brands.

SUCKS!

Always! defaults to the Multi Function paper tray on the back of the printer, which never has paper. No matter what you do on the settings! From mobile devices, it ALWAYS wants to use the MP tray and there is no way to select tray 1, so basically it’s not USABLE! Setup was way more confusing and difficult than an HP. It also looses its network connection and has to be restarted.
Positives is it prints fast and has lots of ink. Just crazy hard to print to.

When I first received this product,my 1st thought was "wow... It`s huge! " Upon unboxing and seeing all the amazing functions I realized why. It was easy enough to set up with very little trouble. It prints in fully saturated and vibrant colors. My 11 year old autistic son also used the product with ease and few directions. It holds a great amount of paper for any family or home office. It is beautifully designed as well. Pros: Easy Funcuality, prints in vibrant colors, lost lasting ink, bright LCD screen that tilts to easy view, simple setup and to use. Cons: very large takes 2 people to set it up

High quality all in one printer

This printer comes fully assembled in the box with all the necessary instructions and software to easily set it up. The printer was quite a bit larger and heavier than I expected it to be. It appears to be very sturdy and nice quality. It took me about 30 minutes to set the printer up so that it was fully functional. The instructions for set up were very simple and easy to follow with both pictures and text. The hardest part I encountered was wirelessly connecting it to my internet. The mistake I made was inputting the "key" or password that is printed on the back of my router (according to the set up instructions provided) rather than the new internet password that we created for our home. I set up the printer with free MAC software downloaded directly from the Brother website.The ink was easy to install and printed clearly in B&W and color without any streaking or smudging. I appreciate the long lasting ink feature. I haven`t experienced any problems with paper jams or paper feeding errors through its multiple paper feed paths. Double-sided printing is a nice feature and is preformed quickly. The scanning function is convenient and straight forward to use and has a very large 11x17 scanning area. Making copies is also easy, fast and produces clear text and images. The one issue I have had is the printer disconnecting or going offline from my internet network if it hasn`t been used in a while. This has been easily fixed by canceling the print job and trying a second time. Overall Im very impressed with the functions of this all-in-one printer and happy with how user friendly it is. Would highly recommend!

I have found that the Brother MFC-J6545DW Ink Jet is a high quality, user friendly, multifunctional printer that is fairly compact. It doesn`t take up a fraction of the room an industrial size printer does, yet it serves more than the needs of my small business. Set up took longer than a basic printer, but instructions were clear and flowed well. Box indicated a year supply of ink was included, but time will tell. It prints and copies quickly, clear clean color quality. Lots of printing options. So far, I`m satisfied and I`m enjoying using this printer for my small business. I haven`t priced the cost to replace the ink, but provided it lasts and is comparable to other ink pricing, this printer is a winner.

Excellent Printing capeabilities

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion and am thrilled to report that this amazing machine can actually handle printing my large format photography! Not only can I scan my images and documents that are larger than 8.5 x 11, but I can reproduce copies on larger paper formats as well as produce high quality prints of my photography for clients on the spot. I absolutely love the wireless printing feature! My home office is small and I needed to house this printer in another room. I can control printing remotely from my desktop computer or my cell phone in an instant. I can also print while away from home through my dropbox, the cloud, or email, in the event someone needs documents in a pinch. Because of the wireless capabilities, I can send photos directly from my WiFi enabled camera to the printer. This allows me to provide clients with images during our photo shoot session, rather than waiting for proofs. The color resolution is top notch; meeting the demands of any photographer or the simple needs of an office. Set up went smoothly and I was printing from my smart phone within minutes of opening the box. In comparison to 2 other well know brands of Photo/All-in-one printers that use regularly, the Brother MFC-J6545DW InkJet ranks significantly higher. I would dare to say it is within the realm of excellence when it comes to convenience, ease of use, print quality, innovation, and reliability. I will be replacing my older all-in-ones with this Brother InkJet, for sure. The duel paper feed trays are an added bonus for high volume printing in various print sizes. I can keep both photo paper and copy paper in this machine at all times. Because of the duel trays and the amount of paper they can hold, there is rarely a need to change paper to accommodate a specific job. This is definitely a time saver and prevents me from accidentally printing on the incorrect media. The document feeder is ideal for scanning, copying or faxing several pages at a time and the printing from USB flash source is great when wanting to by pass the computer completely. The onscreen interface can handle it all without powering up your PC! In short, I was more than pleased with the ease of use, features, and performance of the Brother MFC-J6545DW InkJet. I highly recommend this device for both the high volume of a large office or the complicated needs of an artist in a home office.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion, that being said, I was very apprehensive at first when I received the printer because of it being an Inkjet printer rather than a laser printer. But to my surprise, the printer outperformed various different models of printers that I have had in my home office. Here are some highlights from Brother MFC-J6545DW XL InkJet that I believe make this printer standout:Pros:Ease of use. This printer was very easy to set up and being using after less than 15 minutes. Following the instructions on both the printer screen and the sheet provided made set up very easy.Multiple functions. The many different functions of this printer make it so much better than your standard printers. The wireless aspect make printing anywhere in your home or office a breeze, whether its from a PC, laptop, mobile device, or tablet. Another great feature is the ability to scan documents and wirelessly transmit them to any device right from the printer`s screen. And for those who still use fax, this printer does that as well.Print Quality. The print quality is surprisingly very good for an inkjet printer. Images and text come out clear and legible, as well as very fast.Cons:Size. This printer is big and bulky, not the most ideal printer for a home office unless you have the space for it. Also, as you may already be able to tell, it is a bit on the heavy side. Your average person will have no issue lifting this by themselves, but some of the older folk I would recommend they ask for assistance. Cost. It is a bit more expensive for an inkjet printer. I have had dozens of smaller inkjets that I have spent less far less than the cost of this printer, but what you make up in savings, you lose in functionality and quality. Also, the cost of ink is a bit more expensive than your average ink cartridge, but this printer claims to have ink that lasts for a year. It all depends on how much you`re printing of course.Overall, I highly recommend this printer for both an office setting and a home office. I believe because of the multiple features this printer provides, it well deserves to cost what it costs. The printer is very great quality and super easy to use.
