easy interface

i use the scan & print function from both a mac & pc wirelessly and the interface is simple.i also like that its checks for firmware updates on its own, all you have to do is confirm you want it installed. the footprint is a bit large and the form a bit clunky

great while it lasted - BUT

Printer lasted only 16 months before the print head nozzles became so clogged that no ink was emitted from any of the cartridges. Only Brother ink cartridges were used. Cleaned the nozzles MANY times using the machine's procedures, but the post-cleaning prints became worse each time I ran the cleaning process.

Above and Beyond Performance

For the last thirty years I have owned many, many printers, all makes and models and I can truly say this is the best printer I have ever had. I purchased this in May, 2020 and have printed over 10,000 copies. I have refilled the tanks only once which was easy and no mess at all. It is connected wirelessly to my network. This is a workhorse. I researched for months before I purchased and waited this long to write a review. Having two trays from which to print different types of media is totally a time saving convenience that I use all the time. I have used every function, print, copy, fax and scan and have had no problems. It is a large machine and will take up space, but it is well worth it. No regrets and would purchase again.

Printing features

I have been disappointed in some of the print features, especially when it comes to printing checks from my Quicken financial software. I use 3 to a page checks, 8 1/2 /X 11. Printer works fine if I am printing a full page, but that is rarely the case. I have yet to figure out how to print a partial page.

First month with printer

Setup was fairly straightforward. iPrint & Scan installed on my personal laptop. It didn't on my work laptop (I'm working from home) but I think it is the security setting that got in the way. I haven't had the time to play with the printer enough, but I was able to scan documents. Will continue to explore the features.

worth every penny

This printer is really fast! I was surprised by the 2 sided copying that retrieved the copy and printed the other side. I have owned other Brother printers in the past and know about their excellent support but I don't need it for this one.
