Good Printer and support gets a WOW

When I first installed my new printer, everything worked great except the manual feed tray. I ran the track clear procedure with no luck. I called support who told me to do the same thing. Again, no luck. For the next several weeks I went back and forth with tech support. I finally did one last visual inspection of the MF tray path and low and behold I found a part in the track which was blocking the paper path. I removed the small part (about 0.5 X 0.25 in) and sent a picture to tech support with a note that I would install it if they would send instructions. I was told that this was not a user install part and i thought "Here we go again". About 3 days later a brand new printer showed up. I am afraid i have to eat some crow. Brother went above and beyond.
I really like this printer. It will duplex print and process Ledger paper. I have two issues 1) it is NOT a photo printer. Report graphics are fine, but photographs are news print quality. 2) it will not duplex scan.
If you are looking for a good workhorse business MF device, this is a good choice.

Misleading info page

Double sided printing is not straightforward - user must manually remove paper from output and re-insert into paper tray. That was not clear from the advertisement. In fact, the info page states specifically "Automatic two-sided (duplex) printing helps save paper and money." Well, it isn't automatic with any Microsoft or Adobe products. Quite misleading.

Great all in one printer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The setup on this printer/scanner/copier could not have been easier. Very straightforward on all setup including adding the toner and wifi setup. I didn`t really read the directions and it all hooked up/worked as you would expect it to if you have had any experience with setting up another system. I have three devices using the printer remotely and haven`t had one issue with printer or scanner function. Print quality is great and will allow me to now print all my marketing materials at home instead of sending projects out to a printer. Some prints are coming out a little off color, but it is most likely a calibration issue with my computer monitor instead of a printer issue. Overall, I am very pleased with the functionality of this product and feel like it is going to save me a lot of time and money on print projects while allowing me to scan, enhance, and print personal photos. The online template resource is also a great bonus.

This is a great all-in-one printer for everyday use. The product instructions were very straight forward and minimal. Setup took probably less than 15 minutes.My favorite features are the wifi capability and the ability to print ledger. The printer is set up in our home office on the lower level, and I am able to print from my phone 2 stories up which is a major convenience factor. Also, photo print quality is surprisingly good despite it not being a photo printer.The printer is also very quiet and prints quickly. This is a big plus as a mom of a newborn. The only downside is the massive size. Makes sense though, since this printer supports ledger size paper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although the printer is a little larger than any I`ve had in the past, it`s features and ease of use make this printer a pleasure to own. The printer came packaged securely and the instructions provided users easy to follow. The ink was also easy to install and it was a definite plus that you can load up 50 sheets of paper. The quality of both the text and pictures Wes`s excellent. I`d definitely recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great printer that is built to last.

Would've done 5 stars, but I haven't had the printer long enough to thoroughly use it and give a proper review. So far though, for the basic simple straightforward printing and scanning that I've done, I really like it. No issues whatsoever. Set up was easy enough. No communication errors with devices. It's big and heavy, and meets my needs perfectly - it's great to have such a large scanning bed.! I also like the easy to access inks.
We'll see if I'm still this happy with it after a few months of more complex use.

When looking for a printer I wanted one that was ink stingy and fast. This met both requirements and did double-sided copying along with double-sided printing.
