This printer has been great so far. The only thing i don’t love is the size, it is much larger than I expected. However, works amazing fast clean prints and easy to connect to devices. Great purchase just wish it was smaller.

DOCS All Functions Great - Scanning Pictures, Not

For printing on different size envelopes, papers, card stocks - Awesome. No problems. Printing pictures - just okay. BUT, cannot scan color or BW photos very well. Tried all options, failed.

I purchased this printer based on the features that I that I saw online. I needed a printer that would allow me to make 11x17 prints. I am VERY happy with the printer. It was easy to set up and it is easy to use. The quality is beyond outstanding

Just what we needed! (almost)

We have had the MFC-J5845DW for a couple of months now so here goes.
Upgrade to Win 10 caused both of our existing printers to stop working, too old but worked perfectly. :( Originally wanted the 6845 because it could scan/copy/print duplex but it was back ordered due to the Corona Virus in China and we figured we didn't really need that function - UNTIL the day after we got the 5845 and had a use for the duplex function. LOL. We'll probably never need it again!
The printing is sharp and fast and while we didn't purchase it for it's ability to print photos, with some tweaking of settings it actually prints a very good photo. So far It doesn't seem to be an ink hog and in fact seems very efficient. The scanner is fast and with a lot of usage it has not jammed like some other brands I've had experience with.
I should add that I have mine hooked up via USB. WiFi in my area is weak and sketchy at times and can't be counted on.

This printer has all the features I wanted in a new one. This is my third Brother printer. The first one lasted me five years when a small feeder groove broke. I figured I'd gotten my money's worth out of it and because of its age I probably wouldn't be able to get it fixed any way.
The second Brother printer is a laser which I use only for special printing due to the cost of toner cartridges.
This third Brother printer replaced the one that broke and has more features. I'm very happy with it. I recently had to replace my laptop and when I discovered that it didn't have a DVD player, I panicked thinking I wouldn't be able to install the driver. Fortunately Windows 10 identified both printers and installed the appropriate drivers.
