Excellent machine

Great machine, a little grumpy with WiFi, but restart the unit and most times it’s ok. Excellent quality pictures with correct settings as described in the manual. Read the manual before complaining, many things are addressed.

Fast and Reliable

l always had Epson printers after HP and didn't like either of them. Now that I bought the Brother Printer, I love it. I've only had it a few months and I do a lot of printing and I haven't had any issues yet! So far so good. I would recommend to purchase it.

Great features and quality for the price

This is my first Brother Ink printer. I have previously purchased 3 different color laser printers from Brother. I decided to go Inkjet for this one as my volume needs were not especially high and the ability to support larger format paper size was a relevant feature for my current needs.
Inkjet is way quieter than laser, which I appreciate. The print quality was pretty impressive. Setting up the Direct WiFi connection was a little tricky, but got done. I also like the various management software options for printer and scan management. Overall, I think that this printer has great value and quality.

Outstanding product at a fair price. Performs exceptionally well. Prints extremely fast. Use it mainly for 11x17 drawings. Have used the scan to email signed contracts. One of a few machines that had a separate tray for both letter and tabloid.

Perfect for our small biz needs...thus far!

This printer is meeting our every need, so far, for our small Engineering business. Also, we're 3 months in & still on the original ink cartridges, which seem to still have 50-60% remaining - that alone is saving us significant ink costs compared to our old printer. The only question that remains is its durability...only time will tell. *Highly recommend this printer.

Great with minor criticisms

Overall, I like this printer much better than the top-of-the-line HP multi-function I had previously. However, all of your labeling in Tray 1 is confusing: I had to lookup most of your designations, like A5, B4, B5, B6, etc. For example, I had to experiment to find out that the common No. 10 envelope is shown as Com-10.
Also, according to the description on your website, I could not print a 5x7 or 8x10 photo. I only found out that I could print those sizes and larger because I called Brother, and I was assured that those sizes could indeed be printed. I almost didn't buy the printer because of those omissions in your website description.
Also, your automatic ink shipping process was not explained to my satisfaction. I signed up for ink-shipping almost immediately because a salesman told me that the initial ink cartridges had a minimal amount of ink and would have to be replaced after printing a few dozen sheets. But when I called up Brother I was told that, no, they would probably last for possibly a year. So I paid for ink I would not be getting for many months, but I was given no information on the ink-shipping process.

However, most, if not all, of my complaints, are because of lack of clarity or explanation in your descriptions. Otherwise, so far, I'm well satisffied with the printer

Great versatility

This unit was a replacement for my 7 year old Brother with similar functionality. First, there aren't many printers available that scan and print ledger size for a desktop unit. More importantly, this unit easily prints twice as fast as my prior Brother which I found very capable. Basically, Brother did what companies should do and that is make their products better through time.
