I love the Ads1250W. I wish software updates for Mac were better and the paper guides should be more sturdy.

scanner lacking functions

I found a few issues with this scanner. You can not save the scan and save as a PDF. It also can not save multiple pages as one file. Each page has to be saved individually.

Missing cable problem @

The scanner is fine but you need to include the cable needed to make it work. It was hard to find.

NO support or compatibility or software!

I found that the ADS-1250W doesn't scan to my Brother L8360 printer. What's up with iprintandscan when it isn't even able to scan to it's own printer. Also no software was included and seems to be a mystery as to how it can make "all things Brother" work together. Support is invisible! If you aren't a Tech don't buy a Brother.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The scanner is useful, but not easy to use. The accompanying instructions are inadequate and incomplete, so the user porcess is one of regrettable disovery of features and a lot of tinkering. So it is much less immediately useful than it could be.

Not what I expected or needed

The scanner itself is fine but it does not have the supporting software to enable me to use it for the purpose for which I purchased it. It is basically useless for what I need it to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.Assembly: overall, this item was very easy to assemble. Take off the tape and boom your set up.Storage: is fantastic it is very light and compact easy to store. I can fit it anywhere. Which is great cause as we all know space is precious.Speed: it is quicker than the printer/scanner that I have now. It scans quickly and loads to my computer just as quick.Difficulty: My problem was in the beginning set up was not as easy as I hoped it would be. The download shows quick setup guide., but U have to search on how to actually use this scanner. I finally was able to download the manual and that helped alot. So once you find the scanner manual its alot smoother finding how to complete everything. The favorite part for me was scanning and sending papers that I thought could help the businessThe improvements I would make is for the instruction to be downloaded automatically, so this way everything would be perfect.All in all this machine is light weight easy to fit into any space and quick to scan. I think it would be good for home and work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This scanner was very easy to set up. Instructions were very clear and thorough which made it easy to assemble. I love tthe way the scanner feeds my documents through smoothly without jamming. I have used other scanners before that did not scan my documents clearly. My documents were crooked and blurry. I did not experience this issue with the Brother scanner. Using this scanner made it easy to upload my documents to my computer. This is an awesome product. I am very pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!
