[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose this rating because the best thing is that LCD screen and taste of the coffee, which is the most important. But other design features can be improved.
Somewhere, somehow, it uses a lot of throw-away water that's left in the tray below. The tray is hard to remove when it fills, and you end up spilling a lot of water everywhere since it's long and flat.
Since it uses a lot of water, you have to fill the machine often (a container that slides out from the front), a hassle in and of itself since to slide it out, you have to remove the milk tube to do so, and often times you forget to reconnect it (which is hard by the way, to re-connect), and end up having to throw away that shot of brewed coffee. The design should have been that you open a latch from the top to pour in water. (My 40 year old espresso machine has it that way by the way.)
You can make the temperature "hot", but can't really make it too much over medium. I'm going to keep trying to make it hotter, but haven't so far found a way (and yes, I went to the menu where you can make it hotter and have it set to hottest setting!)
The bin for coffee grinds pucks (that also slides out from the front) is huge, but the machine only uses 10-20% then says "full" and have to discard the pucks to get it going again. I'm going to try to just shake them to the back and see if that works. (to get an idea, the bin could probably fit 50 puck, but says full with 4 or 5.)
Last, it is too tall. Luckily, I have room, but design should have traded width for height.

The only reason I gave this product for stars is because I believe that the drip pan fill up too fast and the heater for the cups doesn’t get very warm. other than that, make some great coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Saeco Coffee machine. The first one lasted almost 20 years with no issues. I enjoy the sleek styling and quick selection of so many different drinks. Also the ability to make two cups at the same time. My only disappointment is that for the price, the unit has no clock and can't be programed for specific occasions. My mistake, I should have checked this out and not assumed. Even my old machine had this feature.
