This is a great product

Great looking expresso machine. I had another espresso machine prior with a steam wand and my wife likes this one more due to the simplicity and the personal settings. I would say the miss on this machine is the plate warmer on top. Doesn't get warm enough and I believe is plastic. The other espresso machine had a medal plate and warmed the ceramic cups which is a nice feature. Also, given the touch screen design, maybe should've included an automatic timer so the system is ready to go first thing in the morning under personal programable settings?? Sure Philips thought of it but not sure why it wasn't included. Otherwise happy with purchase.

beautiful machine

I replaced my SAECO S class INCANTO DE LUXE with the XELSIS. My old one is still working after 14 thousand coffees.... one little issue with both, the chromed drip tray scratches easily, SAECO should take example on my NESPRESSO machine, the drip tray chrome quality is way superior.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than expected...who knew?

After getting my wife past the absolute sticker shock, we both came to realize the awesome power this machines wields over us. Behold, the most amazing beverage maker of all time is only a few short clicks away. We absolutely love this machine, from it's sleek look, ease of use, but mostly for the coffee drinks it produces for us. I was skeptical, especially after reading many reviews on many different sites. I was most concerned that the coffee drinks wouldn't be hot enough as this was the main complaint expressed in multiple reviews. Not so! This is the first thing I checked and I burned my finger. It was a happy burn! I waited a week to write this review to make sure I wasn't over reacting and let the newness wear off. Didn't happen...can't wait to jump out of bed tomorrow!

Great functionality but poor coffee temperatures

Upgraded to the Xelsis from the Picobaristo and cannot fault the added functionality. Love the increased capacity on the water and beans as well as the new foam system and really like the hygiesteam system.
Where it really disappoints is the coffee temp. I have the setting pushed up to the max temp but when making any drink with a decent amount of milk the coffee can come out Luke warm or end up cold if i do not preheat my cup.
I've had this machine almost a week and am considering sending it back. Its a shame as it is a really nice looking coffee maker.

This machine is a replacement from an old model, the saeco Oder giro. it’s obviously not exactly in the same category. What I love about my new coffee maker is that I can really choose everything in the quantity that I put in my glass. 15 different kinds of drink is superb and pretty easy to navigate around the different settings. There is only one disappointment and that is it doesn’t get hot enough to my liking. Even if I adjust the temperature to its max setting. Overall a very good buy.

Great product, good quality and easy to maintain. Definitely a good product for anyone looking at this price range.
Although a few suggestions to improve the consumer experience:
1- A recipe book explaining the difference between the different recipes offered.
2- A Coffee 101 to help new customers and new to espresso machines customers to help choose different coffee beans, how to store them, the frequency to buy them.
3- A coffee quality help document, to help customers fine tune their machine to their liking. Ex: having a coarser grain if the coffee flow is too liquid.
4- The ability to plug it directly to a water source.
