Well built, wonderfully fast, beautiful display, flexible expandability, nice feeling keyboard. The trackpad isn't bad but it isn't wonderful, I prefer the feel of my Surface Laptop 2 trackpad. The battery life is abysmal, even with undervolting and using battery saver mode I would be shocked if I could get 3 hours away from the wall. Thankfully the quick charging helps make up for that.
Great, high performance computer and relatively lightweight for the power. Able to run illustrator, solidworks, simulation software, and web browsers at the same time....nothing slows it down. Some minor heating when playing games at full specs but not a big issue, and rarely noticeable.
To be honest, the laptop itself is great, the battery on the other hand is not. My battery got replaced in the first 2 weeks by a technician because it keeps fluctuating. The newer battery is better but still not accurate guage reading.

The computational power, the screen, the keyboard are all excellent. However, fan is always noisy and the computer get hot when runs more than one hour.
Battery only lasted 3 hours on battery saver mode, and the Nvidia GTX 1050 ti didn't work (even though it seemed to be constantly working and was the cause of the battery drain). After looking at a lot of comments in forums from people who bought the ThinkPad X1 Extreme it seems clear that the majority of these laptops are faulty and/or defective.
That being, said the keyboard was fantastic - the best keyboard I've ever had on a laptop, the screen was great, the weight of the laptop was awesome as well. It does smudge very easily but that's expected with the black finish on the ThinkPad lineup.
Overall, I can't recommend this product because of the battery and graphics card issues that I had. You're better off with a different ThinkPad product.
Paired with lenovo active pen 2, the 4k touch screen is mediocre. The pairing is not straight forward. The line "jitter" when tracing slowly are enormous, sometimes adding a random 1 inch line perpendicular to the line being drawn.
The NVMe is not the fastest, the ports are pretty good though, with all but full size ethernet. The keyboard is missing a keypad, which could easily fit that size of laptop.
Performance wise, it is a good beast with rare bursts of the fans on regular light use.
Overall, somewhat disappointing for the price, but a solid machine nevertheless.
