Easy setup, after placement near the router. Alexa and Amazon setup were easy as well. now we have music and information at the ask. What a great addition to our space! I think I may have to have several of these for better coverage throughout the house. We use the Orbi mesh system to provide strong wi-fi coverage for our estate.

Great high speed complete coverage

I had the easiest time installing and getting it up and running. We enjoy Alexa's features, although limited AI which I expect to increase over time. I'm on a 150MgB Internet speed plan and the speed test is at 180MgB everywhere in the house and backyard. I'm glad I spent the money because its very good value.

Overall, I'm very happy with the unit. Alexa is a nice touch. I hope to utilize that part of the device more in the near future. The coverage of the system is phenomenal with speeds that are just amazing compared to a Nighthawk system that was starting to fail a lot. I've had one issue with the system that I needed to restart it, but other than that, no other issues.

We have been extremely happy with this router the Netgear Orbi Voice Home Mesh WiFi System/Smart Speaker. Best router I've EVER had. I'm not super techy but this was incredibly easy to set up. It covers every inch of my house 3000 sq.ft. built in 2000. I have lots of walls and windows and coverage is great. I would recommend this router to everyone and anyone who has a subpar router right now.

Connectivity flaky

I bought this several months ago and have found it very frustrating to use after adding to Orbi network. The connection often drops so I can see the device resyncing often and music often stops mid way through playback. I have tried updating the firmware and reseting the device, but the device is very high maintenance to operate. Nice when it works, but often does not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No multi room. Really only good as a hub.

Would be much better if multiroom speaker feature worked with this. We all now have many devices and they need to work together. I really wish Netgear would update the software and then let us know so we could really use this device. Right now it's best use as a dumb hub.

Make sure it is compatible!

I bought two of these, and spent over three hours attempting to set them up with my orbi mesh system. In the end I found out I cannot use these because they are not compatible with my netgear orbi.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Alexa problems.

This unit arrived yesterday. It is to complement my RBR20 router with two satellites. The new RBS40V Orbi voice installed as expected and is now extending my network coverage just fine. However it will not make the connection with my Amazon Alexa function. The unit does show up on my amazon account but states that it is off line. I have tried every single step multiple times but it just won’t connect. Disappointing I can’t use Alexa stil. I spent three hours online with three different tech support persons at Orbi but they also were not able to solve the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
