We used the firepit recently with some (not totally dry) beach wood and the smoke was, while still there, quite minimal - it was so nice to not have to sit in the smoke!! Easy to use and very portable - we love it and look forward to using the grill as we get further into summer.

It isn’t actually smokeless. When we first fired it up, it worked fairly well but definitely far from what I would personally define as smokeless.

Like the stove cool idea and design. Disappointed in the quality. Stove arrived with a big paint chip on the top of the metal mesh. The threading to attach one of the handles was to big, so that screw could not be tightened right from the get go.

Just not worth the money. The hum of the motor may annoy some. I’ve yet to enjoy a smokeless fire. Even tried kiln dried wood.
I think I’ll use it more for cooking.

Been using this in the backyard and camping. Not totally smokeless unless you use the high setting and depending on the type of wood you burn. Pine bought from stores/gas stations seems to pop and smoke with floating embers. Pinion burns better! I suggest a detachable or sliding mesh top or type of spark arrestor for safety. I live in southwest CO so I am paranoid with fire for a good reason. Be safe while burning and if not sure of conditions don't burn. Overall I believe it is a 5 star product but gave three because I know it's a newer product and will probably see an upgraded version or new attachments. I highly recommend this product! Love your gear biolite!

Nice firepit, but have some requests.

I use my pit a lot and I love it! There are just a few things I wish it had. 1 is a removable mesh top made of the same material as the firepit itself. When we use regular wood, embers pop and I need to use an oil splatter guard to stop unwanted holes burning into my sweater. Since then I changed wood to duraflame type logs. The firepit also rusts fairly easily. I wish it had a coating on it to prevent it from happening. Not sure how others feel about their smokeless firepit, it is definitely not smokeless when the fans are on. It's quite the opposite for us. Regardless of all that, I love our firepit. Just get me a mesh top soon please! :)

Love the Fire Pit

Bought it a year ago.. Also had a battery issue where after 6 months it no longer charged.. The company immediately sent me a new one.. I hope this one lasts because it was an expensive item and a great idea..
Cant wait till they come out with the one that self charges the battery like the camp stove
