Great light in a compact package and relatively inexpensive. As long as the unit works and the sun is shining- I can have a FREE UNLIMITED light source!! Will be buying more- thank you BIOLITE- keep up the great work!!

I love the lightweight, the wire stand/hanger and the brightness. I've used it while traveling many times. Charging is so easy whether it's by solar or electricity. The sundial is a great way to see if I have it positioned correctly for charging. I'm keeping one inside 'just in case' I find myself needing it.
My latest use is not one I've seen anyone mention. Squirrels are eating the wiring on my vehicle. I'm putting Biolite SunLight 100's in large plastic containers with lids and using the rotation setting while placing them under my truck. So far, no squirrels have been interested in entering the 'lightshow' area and I'm hoping it scares them away for good.
This is one of my most favorite products ever! I will be giving them as gifts, too.

Not working. Working only the first charge. Didn’t use it at all. Bought a few months ago, was ready to go the first camping this season, but it’s not working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Less intuitive than anticipated

The lamp itself seems to be of high quality and works well for the short time that I used it. However, fresh out of the packaging, it wasn't particularly clear to me how control it. The website states that a detailed instruction is included in the box, however, I could not find any instructions. At least the FAQs on the website helped to exit the demo mode, though I would appreciate a pdf-download option for the instructions. I am still figuring out how to switch between the light modes. Also the lamp flashes at times, I assume as a solar charging indicator?
