Great companion

I love my Base Lantern XL, and this is the second best or in some cases, the best companion to my travels or camping trips.
It was easy to charge, just like my Solar Panel 5+. The light is sufficient enough for most of the personal tasks. It’s easy to pack or carry.
So, I’m Happy that I’ve got 4, enough for my family and for a gift.
I’m certain these lights will travel with us to many places!

in process of discovering SunLight

I have had my SunLight along with an array of other BioLite products( I ordered the NanoGrid and 5+ panel) for just about a month. This thing falls onto the amazing pedestal for use and great idea.
I have used it just for fun and to get used to how it performs. the ease of use is quite good for those that may be tech challenged. The charge ability is very good, I have had a decent charge in shade(with bright sun), also I have to add that out here we had had some rather SMOKY DAYS due to a forest fire nearby(12 miles) and it still charged in limited sunlight(according to local reports opacity of the sun was low on the day I tested charge) it took maybe 2 hours.
I AM IMPRESSED with this and will be ordering 3 more in the future for my all around camping and home kits.
If you are considering this for emergency lighting during a power failure this is the one to have. as during daylight hours with no power it will charge itself.
All in all this is an outstanding device, it has a more than adequate burn time, and ease of use. The flashing during charge does not bother me in the slightest. I look forward to the future of BioLite as I am very very impressed(as I have said) so far.
Next week my order will consist of the FirePit, more Site lights, Site Light Mini's and the 10+ solar panel.
People considering this company's products cannot go wrong.

Sunlight saves the day!

So, I'm driving home from Elk Camp in the Central mountains of Idaho - a 7-hour drive. My trailer has gone through some amazingly tough creek crossings and rugged terrain and the basic running lights get mangled. By some miraculous reason I've still got turn and brake lights but no tail lights. Four hours from home, the very nice, very professional Highway Patrolman who pulls me over strongly suggests that I not proceed without tails lights! I remember my twin Sunlights, quickly switch them over to Red Mode, Duct tape and paracord up a mount to my Trailer and I'm off! Highway Patrol is happy, I'm happy, everyone wins!! Yay Biolite!! I'll be purchasing more for my friends and family. These are great!

Perfect light!

I thought this light for camping & to have in my vehicle emergency kit. I’ve found so many uses for it that are beyond camping & keeping as an emergency light in my car kit. On the red setting or the night setting, it is great for eliminating blue light from any nearby devices & I find it really helps me fall asleep & stay asleep better. I have other BioLite products & I have never had a bad one yet.

These lights are so well-designed! They are fun to use with the various colors and adjustable brightness levels. I especially appreciate knowing when they need to be charged and when they have a full charge.
