I have the 2 in 1 for 4 years and I have water pump failure. This thing is complete garbage do not buy this product. Complete waste of money and time. It not only takes 5 plus hours to complete both cycles it is compete waste of money and time. Please avoid this product. If I could give a zero stars I would.

The new smart all-In-one washer / dryer combo saves half the space, eliminates the hassle of taking cold wet clothes out of a washer and putting them in to a dryer, and keeps you posted on your smart phone. Very cool! Like it a lot!

Whirlpool Smart All-in-One Washer/Dryer = Winner!

We have been using our new Whirlpool Smart All-In-One Washer and Dryer, and are loving it! Instead of dirty laundry being such a bore & chore, now doing the laundry is futuristic fun! I just drop off my dirty laundry, and my smart phone app tells me when to come pick-up my clean, dry laundry! No more guessing if the washer is done, and then the dryer is done, nor the intervening step of moving wet, cold clothes from a separate washer to a separate dryer. (We don’t have a separate dish washer, and a separate dish dryer in our kitchen, so why not the same for a laundry washed & dryer.). The 2.8 cubic feet volume capacity, filled to 50% height of the drum to allow for a reasonable dry time, is sufficient for a typical single, individual weekly load, (e.g., 2 pants, 7 shirts, 7 socks, 7 underwear, 1 towel, etc.; for our three-person household, each person is doing their own laundry now, which works out fine.). Love the sleek modern minimalistic design, with the electronic control panel in the window, so futuristic. Also enjoying the Load & Go for the detergent, and clothes conditioner (softener), no longer have to individually include a detergent pod, along with a conditioner sheet, for each load. Wash cycle is about 45 minutes, dry cycle about 1 hour 45 minutes, total of about 2-1/2 to 3 hours total wash & dry cycle time; longer than a vented dryer, but more than compensated by not having to wait around to check if the wash cycle is done, then when done, having to transport the wet, cold clothes to a separate dryer, then having to check if the dry cycle is done; plus not having to clean a vented dryer dust filter each dry cycle, (just rinse monthly a small water drain filter.). Very electric energy efficient. Compact size with the future of laundry cleaning today... Whirlpool has a Winner!

Screen issues and dispenser smell
on July 19, 2019

Initially we had no screen issues. After a few weeks we cannot scroll down the on the screen anymore to make selections. The screen jumps right back up to the top.
The detergent dispenser is not sealed or water tight at all. I had to disassemble it to clean it out because the detergent smell was so strong. Upon disassembly I noticed that the dispenser is not sealed along the entire top panel. No wonder it smells so strong.
Otherwise this machine has a large volume for its size which is great for small spaces. Easily and comfortably washes for 2 adults.
One other thing I noticed is that the machine will randomly turn itself on intermittently for the briefest of moments. I'm not sure what it's doing but we know it turns on when it activates our motion sensing night light and the screen flashes on for a brief second.
Lastly, it connects to wi-fi randomly. We haven't set it up with our router, but sometimes it will say it is connected remotely. Strange.

Worthless

We bought a matching high capacity set about 4 years ago. Purchased extended warranty. Was told after three service calls they would be replaced. After three repairs we were told it had to be four repairs. When washing clothes they come out tied in knots, soaked or sometimes barely wet. Takes as much as three cycles to dry just a few articles at times. Basically we have been told we don’t know how to wash clothes. We have been washing clothes for 50 plus years without these problems. We paid more expecting to get more. What we got is the worst appliances we have ever owned. Not again!

Hi Bambob, We’re very sorry to hear this! As you mentioned, you are currently under an extended warranty. In purchasing extended service coverage, you are contracting with and delegating authority to that provider in lieu of the manufacturer. You will want to review your contract, and discuss your options further with the plan administrator that holds your contract as they will be able to provide you with the best assistance possible.

Best Washer/Dryer Combo I've used

This machine is fantastic for a 2-1. I love many features including the self-wash function, the pre-soak function, and the tumble fresh function. This machine is much faster than the old LG 2-1 I used. I don't use the app much, but haven't had any problems with it. I love the automatic dispenser. Of course this isn't comprabale to seperate washing machine and vented dryer, but that's not an option for my space, so I feel no reason to compare. I highly recommend this for anyone who's only option is 2-1.
