HUGE waste of money. Biggest purchase regret ever!

I get it. It washes and dried all in one. I was so excited about this. I knew it would take a bit longer and pull more power but never dreamed 6-8 hours a load would be what I was facing. It's just my husband and I and I can NEVER catch up! I think I've had this unit around 8 months and it seems as though it doesn't dry as well, pulls lint and water right at the bottom of the door where I have to drag my clothes out. And blankets or throw rugs? Forget it!! It is just the worst thing Whirlpool has ever put on the market. I with there was a buy back option so I could just get my old separate units back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Takes forever

I read the other reviews and I am not sure we're talking about the same all-in-one. It takes about 6 hours at least and that's for a "quick" wash. The lint builds up, it's hard to scrape off and the clothes smell a little mildewy even if I choose the "extra" dry setting. I agree its a space saver however we bought this to have an option to wash / dry clothes on the main level (we're in a ranch style home with a newborn) but it takes too long. I still use the separate washer dryer in the basement when I have more than one load. Not sure I would recomend it other than the space saving aspect. I wanted to like this product!

Great washer and dryer combo

Bought this in all-in-one for a downtown condo and love the vent free feature for the drying cycle. The detergent and fabric softener allows you to throw the clothes in and go, Yes, it is a combo washer then dryer so the total time runs about 4 hours. We follow a few rules; do not overload and pause at the start of the dry cycle and shake out the load because the spin cycle really wrings out the load and flattens it to drum. Fluffing the load helps it dry more quickly and wrinkle guard helps it cool down and keep turning if you aren't at home to catch the end of the dry cycle. And no venting; all the moisture in the dry cycle exits through the drain.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing for a business.

We purchased this for our business. YES, it takes a long time for loads but its great for how we use it. 4 employees change at work. We run this every other day at the start of our workday and its finished by the end. If I personally had this in my home, I'd need 2 but if I had a small condo or apartment I wouldn't think twice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best compact, space-saving invention ever created! Half the size of my old separate space expansive washer, and also dryer; love dumping my dirty laundry in, and returning only once to get my dry, clean laundry, (with Smart internet notification that my clean laundry is ready for pick up)! Thanks to Whirlpool, laundry day is less of a chore... it’s actually fun! :-)

Pretty good for a single person

I've been washing my clothes with this unit for a few weeks now. It can handle a single persons laundry needs fairly well. Colors will need to be done twice a week. Whites once a week. Towels once a week. You'll have to pause the cycle after the wash to peel the towels off of the drum and put them back in. They stick for some reason. I have adjusted the spin speed but they still stick. They dry fine after that. Whites and Colors work fine. Stick them in and pull them out to fold and hang after the cycle completes.
I had no choice but to get a ventless dryer for now but I will convert to a normal washer and dryer once I can. So for me, this was a cool temporary option.
For a single person, this is a decent option.
For a family, this unit will not meet your load requirements.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chose this product due to size Constraints and the dimensions were perfect and it is ventless! My only complaint is the time it takes to dry clothes. Apparently the ventless systems take more than 2x standard machines to dry. This should have been more clearly indicated in the product description. Also, the product user manual indicates there is a plug included but it is not.
I would recommend this to a friend!
