I received a free sample of this Satinelle to review and overall, I liked this product. I found it to be efficient and very easy to use. Initially, there was a sting when using the product, however, after prepping the area with the massager head, it became more comfortable to use.
Pros: the massage head feature

Trial and Error in use

I received this product in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. I was impressed with all the features it includes. I was most interested in the epilator. I used it first and continue to use it. It is my favorite part of this and what makes it worth buying. HOWEVER, the instructions are not good on how to use it. You CANNOT use the epilator like a razor or you will get an extreme burn as I did. I literally burned skin off the first time I used it and it took over a week to heal. It was also very uncomfortable and embarrassing. BUT, with trial and error, I figured out how to use it well. I now use it almost daily. So the trick for me is not to roll the epilator over the area, but instead to hold it near the area you are using it on and let it `pick` the hair you are wanting removed. Repeat this until you are satisfied. Do not roll it back and forth like a razor.
Speaking of the razor and the other parts and features, I found they did not work. Or if they were working, they were not effective. Because of this, I did not use the razor again because my own disposable razors work better.
I gave each category three stars because I have never used an epilator, so I have nothing to compare it to. Also, I also gave three stars because the epilator part is really the only part that worked for me, so do not buy this for anything except that.
Since I received this for free for my review, I do not know if I would buy this. It would depend on the price. I really like the epilator, so it may be worth it just for that, but I do not care for all the other features.

I received a free epilator to try out.
First of all, it's much cheaper than going to the salon and much safer than using a razor or Nair products that have a ungodly smell. The greatest thing about the epilator is the little teeth that spin around. They tend to get all the hairs as long as you are approaching the hair from the opposite direction, even with the smaller head. In addition to that, there are several pros to the epilator. One being the wet n dry features and the fact that it's effective with the 4 in 1 body care. The handle is an easy anti slip grip as well. The pick attachments were all kinds of awesomeness.
Secondly, there are pros and cons with any gadget; the con with the epilator is the redness it causes to my skin. Don't try to use it and go out immediately after because the redness of your skin looks like you been to combat. Another con will be the ideal that this gadget head is not as wide. I think if it was wider it would have been able to pick up more hairs.

Great epilator, includes everything you need!

I was selected to test out this Satinelle Prestige Cordless Wet & Dry Epilator for free and I was thrilled because I haven`t ever used one before but was very curious about them. This one seems to be a top of the line model so it was almost overwhelming all the different uses and attachments that came with it. I have now used all but the face one, and I am thrilled. I did start on my legs drys which I don`t recommend as it does hurt and I had a lot of irritation and missed hairs. I did it in the shower next and it works so much better, there was still some irritation but it didn`t last near as long and though it also didnt get every single hair it did get the majority of them and they take longer to grow back now than with shaving. I really like the trimmer as well, it works great and is safe and easy to use. The massager isn`t something I would use too often but it does feel nice. the battery lasts quite awhile and charges up within an hour or 2. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has unwanted hair, what woman doesn`t? It saves a lot time in the long run and keeps you nice and smooth.
Pros: removes hair, has attachments for everywhere, can use wet or dry, easy to use
Cons: hurts, you get some irritation

Gets easier and more effective the more you use it!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I had always been curious about how epilators work vs. shaving and I was delighted when I got the chance to review one!
It arrived in a nice box with lots of different parts. The instructions were really easy to follow and the product definitely works well if you follow the instructions. I was able to try it both dry and wet and my recommendation is that you start with wet since it doesn`t seem to pinch as much and then follow up next day without water.
The product is really easy to use and one charge is plenty to get the job done. I charge it again after I`m done, usually overnight so that it`s ready to go when I need it. I love how it gets rid of the hair altogether and I don`t need to shave as often. I`ve used it now for about two weeks and I`ve noticed less and less hair overtime. I will continue to use the epilator and the use definitely gets easier the more you do it.
My overall impression of the product is really good and I love that it comes with so many interchangeable heads and the brush is one of my all-time favorites! I have not gotten a single ingrown hair since using this!
Pros: a brush head for preventing ingrown hairs, a light to see the light hairs

Will never shave legs again! Great product!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I have never used an epilator before so I was really excited to try it! I do know that I hate having to shave my legs every few days. I took everything out of the box to familiarize myself with the product and read the instructions. There was a lot to take in but its really pretty easy once you understand how to use it. Attaching the pieces wasn`t hard but I did get alittle confused trying to figure out how to put on some of the caps because the directions weren`t that clear on that part. Once I figured it out I was ready to start! It has been almost 2 weeks since I first started using it but its really important that you exfoliate you skin before to prevent ingrown hairs! In the box that I received there was an attachment to exfoliate and also to massage. I did use both of those before I started to epilate. I did not use any of the caps or the trimmer yet. If you don`t do it in the shower you should also put warm compresses on your skin to open up your pores so it would be easier to remove the hair. Also it works better if you stretch your skin while epilating. The first place I used it was my legs. Its very loud when you turn it on but you will get used to it. There are 2 settings to chose from. Speed 2 is the most efficient. My first reaction was ow! At first it feels like when you tweeze your eyebrows, but after a while it was fine. I loved the way it took off the hair it was really amazing! The only problems that I had was that it didn`t work that well going around my knees and there were a few stubborn hairs that just wouldn`t come out. You might have to go over those a few times. They did say you should epilate at night just incase there might be some redness that will go away by the morning. I did not have any redness. I went back the next morning to get some of the hairs that I might have missed. I was extremely happy with the results! The hairs grew back much slower than shaving! I will never use a razor on my legs again! I would definitely recommend this product! What`s great about this product is that you can use it both wet/dry! The one thing I would love is if they gave you an attachment to use for the knees!
Pros: works well cost saving vs. wax/shaving, easy to use longer results, removes hair from root/ not surface, you can use on all parts of body
Cons: loud, slightly painful on some areas, hard to remove hair on knees, expensive but worth it in long run

Great tool for large areas

I received a free sample of this item to try and my overall experience was not what I had hoped. It took several uses to get used to how this felt. I preferred using this on my legs versus other areas that tend to be more sensitive. I would continue to use this on my legs but probably use more traditional methods for underarms or bikini.

Excellent product if you are looking for long lasting smooth skin

I received the Phillips Satinelle Epilator as a free sample. I was excited to try the epilator but also a little hesitant as I’ve tried epilators in the past and it was always a painful experience and I ended up never using them. I’m happy to say that technology has come a long way. I took the full number of days allowed as I wanted to use this epilator in every way imaginable to make sure I gave a fair review.
I’m giving the Satinelle epilator a five star review because it does exactly as it is intended. As well, it includes a number of attachments, it’s cordless and it can be used wet or dry. The purpose of an epilator is to remove halr from the root to prevent regrowth for a number of days to weeks. No one said it would be pain-free, after all you are pulling hair out from the roots! After using the epilator I have been hair and stubble free for over a week and no sign of regrowth.
My best advice to a successful epilating experience is to understand that you might experience some pain the first time you use it but that subsequent uses will be far less painful and more likely will be pain free. You just have to get through that first time! I had a four-five day growth when I began which was a mistake in hindsight. I started on my forearms and experienced very mild pain. There was no redness or bumps afterwards. Epilating my legs was fairly painful and it didn’t matter if it was wet or dry. It took me three days and I epilated in sections, but I have course hair. There was no pain or bumps afterward but there was redness for a few hours. Surprisingly the bikini and other sensitive areas had no pain at all. I did experience minor bumps in sensitive areas that went away within hours. I experienced no ingrown hairs at all.
As maintenance I do go over the legs and bikini area every other day to grab any missed hairs and catch any regrowth. This is absolutely pain free. Biggest lesson learned on the legs is that it’s best to shave and then use the epilator every day and grab hairs as they are growing in vs tackling the entire forrest at once. Pulling the skin tight makes it less painful. Use lotion or coconut oil afterwards.
Why it’s worth the initial pain? I’ve had no regrowth in over 10 days, stubble free and my skin is the smoothest it’s ever been. My spray tan has lasted many days longer than usual. This is an excellent product as it does remove the hair from the root vs shaving which leaves stubble. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve the feel and look of their skin or just looking to shave less.
Pros: no regrowth or stubble in over 10 days, unbelievably smooth skin, mostly pain-free after the first use, no temderness or irritation after use, can be used wet or dry, an exfoliation disk is included
Cons: painful during the initial use
