SubPar cushions

I bought my soundlink headphones around 2 years ago for my business travel. I only travel 3-5 times a year and that is the only time i use these headphones. On my last trip i notices the cushions were separating and now they are hanging on by a string. I am disappointed that headphones this expensive is made from such subpar material. Bose shame on you! I expected better. I love my headphones but i doubt i would be a return customer. When paying a lot for supposedly high end headphones, i expect them to hold up past 15-20 wears.

I have nothing to complain about audio quality, but my cushions leather started peeling after 8 months of indoors soft usage

Hello FelipeH,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. This is not the experience we'd like you to have. As the cushions are a wearable item, depending on the conditions, you should expect them to last 18 months - 5 years before they may need to be replaced.

Please contact our technical support team at 1-800-379-2073. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST.

Can’t get the replacement cushions on!!

Had the headphones almost two years and suddentboth cushions started to come off. I ordered the replacements but I simply can’t get them on. I watched a YouTube video where it looks so simple but every time I get one end on the other end pops off...seems like they’re too small. So frustrating.

Bose OE SoundLink Model BHI - Ear Cushions Poor
on January 8, 2018

My wife bought me these headphones so I could listen to music and block out the noise as I pursued my graduate degree in the evenings. After two semesters the right cushion has separated and the left is looking very worn. I am really suprised at the lack of durability for this otherwise fine product. The headphones otherwise produce a really great sound and noise cancellation is also very very good. I like them so much that I still wear them with the broken cushion, but quite frankly it is time for a change. This is my first Bose product and quite frankly I need to consider going a different route for my next pair.

Ear cushions do NOT evoke Bose quality
on April 2, 2018

I've taken great care of my Bose Soundlink on-ear headphones to ensure the wonderful sound they provide will last me for some time. Unfortunately, the ear cushions do not live up to the Bose standard associated with these headphones. I only use them indoors, never for a workout, and mainly for travel and today during one of my trips, I received several odd stares from folks at the airport before noticing the ear cushion remnants around my ears and neck. For the careful use I provide these headphones, and the price point, the ear cushions should be much more durable. Based on this embarrassing episode after the meticulous care, this will be my last Bose product.

Extremely disappointed with Bose

I ordered the replacement cushions hoping to easily replace them after the previous ones tore off. After sending more than 2 hours on it, I have still not been able to replace even a single ear cushion. They are not designed in such a way that they can be easily replaced. Its extremely hard to put them in place and the foam and plastic can get damaged. It requires a lot of pulling and stretching and still I can't get them in place. I am not sure how Bose expects this to be do it yourself job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many here I agree that I love the headphones but the ear pads are poorly designed and wear out with light use. This replacement kit from Bose is a challenge to install and will test your patience and dexterity. It took me well over an hour of man handling these things to get them on. There's no secret, and watching the video is a joke. They cheerfully suggest that you just have to work with them a little bit, and the person in the video easily puts them on in a matter of seconds, there's no way. If you have fat fingers you may just want to try a different product.
