Very hard to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old one wore out so bought original from Bose. Watched installation video and it looked very easy. When I got I fount it was much harder. One side in and another side was still far from the edge of the head phone. After you put another side in, this side slipped out. Had to try and try. Found out you'd need to pull really hard, that you'll think it may rip this cushion apart. In my case it turned out the first one's inner belt got broken (the black ring that sticks with cushion edge). Bose shall think a easier way to replace since this part is not durable at all.

Easy to use and convenient, ear pads uncomfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned these headphones for almost a year and they have stayed durable because I take care of them and transport them in the case they come with. However the ear pads become uncomfortable after prolonged use maybe because of the pressure it places on the ear lobe.
The ear pads feel thin and do not have much cushion to it. I do not know if it would be worth it to buy replacement pads maybe mine are just cheaper. They feel different from another friend who has owned one as well.

Poor Quality Cushions

I love great sound and Bose has always proven to be at the top of that game. So it was no surprise to me the SoundLink Headphones provided a great sound. I only wish Bose would have invested as much quality in the materials used to make the headphones. My set has lightly used and always handled with care, stored in a case. The cushions are disintegrating and coming apart from the headphones. This material is literally dissolving on it's own. The head phones have seen maybe 3 charge cycles and I have to contend with repairs and part costs already. This is not acceptable with audio equipment in this price range. I expect much better with Bose, leaving me wondering where else they cut corners.

NICE BUT WON'T LAST

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The headphones were a gift and my second set of Bose, the first being noise canceling. I strive for quality more than price and thus like the Bose brand. HOWEVER, the ear cushion fell off last night and now needs to be replaced $25. Hopefully Bose will design these out of their product line so they can keep the QUALITY reputation they are known for.

Ear cushions fall apart

I bought these and had to replace after 2 months because the ear cushions were falling apart ... needless to say I keep both sets of headphones in the case at all times and only use them when I travel yet again the ear cushions are falling apart and detaching from the base ... very disappointed since this is my second pair and I bought a soundlink that is inconsistent with powering up... quite a bit of money spent for products I can’t use .

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your cushions. We use protein leather to ensure an allergy-free experience for almost all users of our products. After time, the material can deteriorate if exposed to sweat for prolonged periods. To prevent fast deterioration, we recommend giving the cushions a wipe down with a lightly dampened cloth before storing them away. Please ensure all moisture is dried before storing as this will also help to prolong their lifespan.

Earpads will not attach.

Not happy that the instructions are not clear on how to attach to earpieces. The plastic will NOT stretch enough.

Too difficult to install.

i bought these to replace my worn out ear cushions. i have a reasonable amount of skills but i can't get them mounted. Very Frustrated. I will trying. It appears that i will have to make an apparatus to hold them in place while i complete the install.
